Does it say 1000ma or 1000mah? There's a difference. You need to look at output, not capacity. Yes, read that thread. It's all explained very well there.

For those on a budget- Battery holder: AA x 4 with USB interface connector, power switch and Belt clip - USBPS I'm getting one of these and plan to use some high quality rechargeable batteries. maybe not what your looking for though.

Yep it works great, and inexpensive too. I used clear packing tape to attach a penstyle ecig and coiled up power cord to the back so you can still easily open the battery door and change atomizers & carts without taking it all apart.

I have been useing this (got it for my iphone) and it charges my batteries just fine.

I didn't look at the link Alex but they are not talking about battery chargers. They are talking about battery packs strong enough to power the usb passthrough. Different animal.
