Question How do I tell if it's the batt or the cart that needs replacing?

Hi guys,
I have a BLU e-cig (yes, this is before I found this forum and knew any better, grrr!) and lately, like the past week or so, everytime I try to charge the batts, they turn from red to blue within 1/2 an hour! The same thing happens whether I try charging it in the USB charger, the PCC, or the wall charger! Don't quote me on that, but it's been around 1/2 an hour, maybe at the most 45 mins.
The other thing I've been wondering is, how do you tell if it's the batt that's low or the cart that needs replacing? It just seems like whatever I try lately, it's gotten much harder to drag, not producing much vapor and very weak taste... How can I tell if the cart is low on juice or if it's the batt's fault?

If the drag is harder, you probably over-used it.. Take the atty out and blow into it to get rid of the old stuff.. Then put some drops on it and with the atty connected to the battery, turn it on afew times to burn off some of the juice build up (I burn it 5-10 times), then do more juice and vape.. Takes me 2 hours to charge a 510 battery... As far as taste, use polyfill and make a new cart...

I was using 510's for months, but bought a Janty Stick recently and switching over to one of those has been the best thing I've done.. Not only the battery lasts. the USB cable can be plugged into the USB, the car, and also a regular outlet with the required connector... I'm telling ya', I wished I bought this to begin with...

Just my opinion;.......if it's your battery it will die completly in a few minutes. If it's the cartridge--it just goes on and on with less and less vapor and lost of bad smell and bad taste.

As far as 'harder to drag', well, it might be several things, including the air holes in the atomizer plugging up. If you are using the same cartridge--the air holes in the cartridge's sides could be plugged.

Hi Sarah,

Welcome to the forum!!! Glad you are here with us

You'll find all the info you need to get into the e-ciggies and vaping, but before you chose the device you buy, the first thing you definately need to know is "Never buy one at a mall or a store" those are usually lousy...

Take your time looking around this forum, particularly the newbie section and watch the videos by everyone who does them, they help alot... You can find them at the bottom of the page you land on.. Scroll down and you'll see a search box on top of the numbers.. Just search for "videos" and there are alot on YouTube..

Any question or comment, go for it.. Oh and the Social Groups are a kick..

This is the best forum I've been in since being online in the early 90's religiously.. That must say something about all these great people

Welcome again and have fun!!!

the cars gearing was tuned for maximum performance for a 5 minute race. i tuned and fine tuned gearing so that the batteries would last 5 minutes and 20 seconds... give or take 10 seconds. granted each battery cell was matched...thats a different story.

if you want to know more...ask away
1.2v wouldn't be lithium batteries, it'd be NiMH (nickel cadmium) Lithium Ion chemistry supports 3.0v-3.6v-3.7v, 1.2v is the golden standard for NiMH lol
