Default Was going to get a Prodigy, but then....

I saw Terraphon's review of the Silver Bullet! Great, thought my decision was made and another PV hits the market!

I know the SB is brand spanking new, but if anyone has experience with both, your input would be greatly appreciated.

Also, I just watched a video about the Prodigy, and it stated it is mainly for drippers and really not for cart users... is this true?

I have no problems with 801 carts. It drips very nicely, but have to re-drip too often for me. I have to say though, that I'm fussy with my carts - get the stuffing just right and keep after it until I get one working just how I like it. It's then good for several weeks until the process starts all over again.

The Prodigy and Silver Bullet are battery packs. The Prodigy can operate at 3.7v, 5v and 6v, depending upon the type of switch you are using. The Silver Bullet operates at 3.7v and, as I understand, can also run at 6v with a small spacer inside.

Dripping seems to be best for higher voltages as the liquid will vape off quickly. Because of the increased heat and liquid consumption at 5v and 6v, I would think cartridges might dry rather quickly and need to be topped off frequently. If you are a heavy vaper, you will need to top off your carts often. At that point, you might as well drip. Lots of users report that taste is better when dripping.

A light vaper could probably use carts on any of these devices without much problem.

The increased voltage of the Prodigy seems to help it drain the cart better than a standard e-cig, so it balances out. In other words, for me at least, yes, you have to top off more often than at 3.7V, but the increased cart capacity use helps mitigate that.

I have the GG and Prodigy and ordered the Silver Bullet a couple of days ago.

I like the variety and the options these big boys give.

You can use carts or drip with any of them. It's your choice.

There's no one of these that is better than the other for dripping or for using carts. They're the same.

Have you checked out the youtube vids on the Lady pipe and the E-pipe.
They put out great smoke and the adds say they are better then the screwdriver.
The lady pipe is small and can go right in your shirt pocket and uses the 801 style carts $60 at eastmall.net.
The E-pipe DSE601 can be dripped so you won't need a cart the smoke is awsome $75 at eastmall.net.
Just in case you are interseted, and I do own and use both.

I have been using the 510 version of Prodigy for a while now and have never dripped. It works just fine topping off. I am also using the straw modification on the 510 cart and am able to add more drops (7-10 drops) when I top off than Terraphon does when he drips directly into 901 atty in his video.
