Default Drying Burning My Attys And Not Glowing Red?

Hey everyone sorry for making so many posts just getting back and i have different questions. I have tried looking for these questions but i saw no posts so here i am.

Anyways lol i was just looking at different methods of how to clean the attys and i want these all nice and clean for when my liquids get here on friday
Im going to get some polident in a bit when i go to the store and do another wash.

Last night i ran them under cold and hot water for a bit then put them into a container and shook them around for a bit then let them sit and soak for an hour or so. Then took them out and let them dry overnight. These by the way werent used that much i basicly vaped for a week and then started smoking analogs again and this was almost a year ago.

But anyways getting to my main question. I started the dryburn on one of my attys that looks perfect after awhile of sizzling and doing bursts from my battery the round part under the bridge started glowing red. So i said ok that one is good. I started doing the bursts to the other one and it just keeps sizzling but never glows red ... what does this mean. It obviously is working but the atty just wont glow red. There are also little white strings coming out from under the bridge hitting the edges of the cart.

Thanks guys for taking your time to read this and sorry for the very long message it seems like every post i write is so detailed and long with bad grammar lol Thanks again guys !

Sizzle but no glow? try blowing the atty out then resume the dry burn, probably just extra liquid in the atty. The string is there to transfer the liquid from the bridge to the heating coil for vaporization (helpful if you use carts), Some drippers like to remove the bridge/string & have the coil exposed.

the little white strings are the wicking that goes from the bridge to the coil...

if it's not glowing it's likely that theres too much gunk built up on the coil...or it's not really dry...

try blowing it out and keep doing a dry burn...eventually you should get a uniform glow across the coil..

I don't even soak mine anymore...I just blow them out eally good and do the dry burn...
I hold the button and blow into the atty until I get a uniform glow across the coil...then I stop blowing in it and keep pulsing the button...then set it aside and let it cool...and then try it again...til it's to the point that I get a uniform glow across the coil within a second of pressing the button..

The other possibility that I've run in to is that there is so much chit on the coil that it will never glow red again. Plus, the resistance over time goes up so I move up to 5v (pass thru) to do some of the dry burn at that point.

If no luck after that, time to pop open a new one.

take a kleenex and gently put it up into the cart end of the atty, being careful not to damage the bridge. Then blow through the battery end. Remove kleenex..it should be wet and maybe nasty...find a new corner on the kleenex and repeat until it's coming out dry. Then start your dry burn and as nubee said above, if you can't get a uniform orange glow from your normal batteries, you may have to dry burn it with a 5v passthru. I have had some older attys that wouldn't "clear" without the additional volts. Just make sure you use shorter bursts with the 5v so you don't fry the atty.

Roughly how many seconds will it take during a dry burn to turn that puppy red? I've done short dry burns (maybe 4-5 seconds) and then blow out the vapors - I've never let it go "red". (On a 510 atty).

what you're after is a decent orange glow on both sides of the bridge. It doesn't have to be intense but it should be clearly seen on both sides. If not..or only on one side then it's still clogged..so blow, burn it off some more and it may need another overnight soaking. My preference for soaking is some diet coke and PGA...that seems to do the trick. I won't use regular coke because it contains sugar which is bad for atties. Then I rinse the daylights out of it and blow it out and let it sit for several hrs and dry burn it again. But that is ONLY on atties that are just being stubborn. I prefer not to soak them at all if I don't have to...usually the dry burn works fine unless you've fouled it up good with some dark juice or something.

I had a BE112 that would not glow orange no matter what. I was doing 30 second dry burns, but no dice. I even soaked it in muriatic acid and it still wouldn't get orange.

Sounds like either a dead atty or battery.
