yes i gotta screwdriver Kit . I was pondering over it for a little while but glad i made the decision to go with Trogs bit of kit. It's my main workhorse now.
I am currently in the throws of making an adaptor to allow the use of a generic classic atomizer. Nothing as fancy as the one Ned has but it'll do the job fine. and the parts required to make it Will be available to anyone with a pen battery and 901 atomizer.
edit : nice to see you two back posting again btw
Got my screwdriver for about a week and it ROCKS ! Definitely themost reliable e-smoking device I-ve used so far. I had previously stocked 901 cigarettes... batteries are never enough, though the atomizer is great... plugged in chargers all the time ... those batteries gone in the drawer now ... Great work Trog, especially for heavy addicts like me ...
Does anyone know how i could remove the matt white paint off the other atomizers for consistency with the screwdriver ?
CR123A batteries from DE for about a pound each ... a decent trusty two-channel quick charger ... always a couple of ready-to use batteries that last a almost a whole day each ...
After bad experience with a couple of e-cigs almost an year ago and having spent almost the same amount on them as I did for the screwdriver, I had given up completely and gone back to analogue cigs simply coz they are always reliable .
I hope now the manual switch is durable enough hehe![]()
nice one Karivar,
I haven't yet heard of a disappointed screwdriver owner, that's speaks volumes.
As for removing the paint from the atomizer , you can scrap it off with a craft knife and polish it up with some emery paper.
I did read elsewhere that Trog will be selling pre-striped atomizers soon, don't know at what price tho.
Thank you for the idea, I think I've got some glasspaper to try it out ...
I had to do a number of these (ten) after realizing I would probably get into more trouble smoking the white atomizers.
I ripped out the battery internals out of a new in box 901 battery, put a bit of padding inside it and jammed it onto a drill bit to make a poor man's lathe. The white paint came off very easily with some wetted steel wool.
I started by doing one of them by hand with a fine file, but it didn't get all the paint off and looked very scruffed up. And it was a lot more work.
fast spin speed... course 80 grit.. wrap it round and move back and forth.. finish off with some finer 300 grit.. like bertrand does it a drill in a dead battery if u have one.... dont apply sideways pressure.. grip from both sides and move back and forth..
we have now sourced some shiny ones from scratch.. so wont have to do it any more..
trog
ps.. or just do it in two halves and stick one in the drill..
