At least the 901 atomiser is relatively standard equipment, which means they are cheap to replace. I like the idea of setting a standard, there are too many manufacturers obscure variations already.

instructions shipped with the screwdriver...

forgive the lack of a pretty box.. we havent got around to that yet.
the liquid in the carts isnt the same as the topping up liquid.. . its standard 16 mg stuff.. the topping up liquid is 24 mg flue cured.. the stuff we use ourselves..
smoke the cart for a short while then top up the cart with liqiud.. its best not to let the cart get too dry.. more vapour is produced when things are kept wet-ish.. a cart can be reused several times.. they do not need replacing every time..simply top them up from the bottle when needed and after a couple of days or so use a new cart.. if the cart is overfilled a nasty taste in the mouth will be the result.. wet but not too wet.. it soon comes with a ittle practise..
try not to hold the button pressed for too long.. a five or six second press combined with a steady draw should be enough.. excessive button pressing will shorten the atomizer life..
screw the atomizer into the device firmly but not too firmly.. good electrical contact needs to be made but excessive force can damage the device..
keep the electrical contacts clean.. e liquid is inherently greasy.. it builds up.. clean the points where the atomizer screws into the device when needed and give the battery ends the odd wipe..
there is no need to fully run down the batteries between charges.. a full charge should take about three hours.. the battery run time is several hours depending on use.. when the vapour drops off the battery needs a recharge.. pop them on charge when it suits you.. when the charge is complete the light turns green.. remove the battery.. have a fresh one ready for use.. we advise not to leave them unattended on charge overnight as a regular practise.. lithium batteries need treating with care.. the batteries are shipped fully charged ready for use.. insert freah batteries positive terminal towards the atomizer or spring....
we consider atomizers disposable items.. again depending on use they need regular replacement.. we think two weeks heavy use is a maximim.. after that the performace drops off.. this is up to the user but dont expect them to last for ever they wont.. the only way to maintain as new performance is to replace them.. two weeks is an estimate.. with lighter use they can last longer..
any problems with obtaining consumables or with the device itself let us know.. the device is new.. end user comments are welcome..
we hope u enjoy using the screwdriver.. and it works for you..

problem solving..
nothing happens at all when switch is the pressed and a draw is taken.. no vapour at all..
dead flat battery.. pop a new freshly charged one in and see what happens..
bad electrical contacts.. check things are screwed together properly.. atomizer in the device body and the two halves of the body.. also check for greasy electrical contacts.. where the atomizers screws into the device.. the body joining threads and the battery ends and contacts.. clean things..
dead atomizer.. try another one..
###
lack of vapour poor perfornance but something happens when drawn..
low battery.. fit freshly charged one..
cart needs topping up..
atomizer past it best.. fit another one..
poor quality fluid being used.. try an alternative type..
###
nasty burnt taste when drawing the vapour..
pressing the switch for too long.. or the atomizer is too dry..
###
problem solving diagnostics is mostly about swopping out.. if things are not working correctly pop in a known to be good spare part.. always have some spare parts handy..
e liquid comes in many different tastes and strengths.. we like the flue cured 24 mg stuff shipped with the screwdriver.. you might not.. suck it and see is the only answer here.. try different flavours and strengths..

Trog, it's not about how much I like or don't like a 901, it's about how much vapor it produces. I can use a 901 and my pipe side by side and the pipe produces three or four times more vapor. i have had many 901's and they are excellent. But they do not compare in vapor volume to my 601 pipe. That is an objective, easily demonstrated reality, not a value judgment on whether or not I like it. You are kidding yourself if you think a 901 makes just as much vapor as a good e-pipe. Or, if that's all that your .......... pipes produced, I'm surprised you ever bought more than one.
Now, I wouldn't expect the bigger battery would increase the vapor production by that much. Maybe a bit, but you've still got the same surface area limitations of that size heating coil, so not much. I would expect the real benefit si in runtime. But, Kit, how about it? You said it produces a plumes of vapor, but give me a comparison; does it match my e-Pipe video?

i dont want to get in the middle of a barny here but i reckon the 901 atomizer will work the same as a pipe once it is attached to the pipe battery which it is with the SD.

The forum has a donation box. I imagine not too many people donate, but if enough did, maybe the forum could pick a designated reviewer, then purchase and send the current e-cig to the reviewer we members want to see reviewed by video. Just an idea.

Janet, i think there would be a lot of arguments over who gets to be the reviewer, maybe we could rotate title though, also peoples opinions differ widely on the same product.

We could do a poll and vote for which reviewer we want. Or they could take turns. Personally I would like to see a review which included a demo upon receiving a new e-cig and then another review for the same e-cig a month later.

What about a screwdriver that uses AA batteries?
The world will look up and shout "Save us!"... And I'll whisper "No."

not a problem its about the same capacity as long as we are talking a lithium rechargeable 14500 3.6 volts one..
if we are talking a normal alklaine AA.. no way.. or NiMh AA no way..
