a 3.7V comes off the charger with damn near 4.5V, you telling me a 510 atty can handle almost 9V? Wow, I guess the chuck IS magical, bet the juice taste like a burnt piece of fanbelt.

You'd understand if you saw it. The battery part is in a sealed chamber in the bottom of the unit. The switch housing and wiring are in the top part. The atty connector is recessed into the unit to avoid being damaged if you drop it.

True, but some of the other 6v mods are a decent amount shorter. Of course, one has to fit the switch and atty connection in there somehow. Looks like each manufacturer goes about it a little differently.

Well I mostly vape unflavored, it does taste a little charred when I need to drip some more in there. But I do drop some tab and 555 in there on occasion. and it tastes a little depleted but not burnt. I'm mostly in it for the throat hit any way.

    Yes
2.66" inches long (both 3.7v single, and 2x3volt)

The 3.7 volt battery has a larger diameter though than the two CR123A batts.

    Default 510 and 801

The 510 and 801 atty's both do very well at higher voltages.
The puff has to be short though, because they will instantly glow orange inside.

I can't use 3.7 volts, I find i have to draw for such a long time, and i get little vapor compared to higher voltages.

I prefer a 2 second puff full of vapor and flavor.

To change voltages on a pass through this is what i use.

The kensington is a 5 volt power pack.
The Tekkeon is variable all the way from 3~14v.
Anywhere from 5~9 volts is acceptable, after that the liquid burns too quickly.

The non-rechargeable CR123A batteries that I am using temporarily aren't a very snug fit in the CHUCK as far as their diameter goes, but the spring is holding them in pretty tightly. The batteries don't move when you shake the unit. So it seems to me that if you were to use the rechargeable CR123A's, they would probably work just as well as the recommended CR2's, and you wouldn't need an adapter. I'd still strongly recommend using protected batteries, however. Better to be safe than sorry.

Of course, not having tried them yet, I couldn't vouch for how long the batteries could work before needing to be recharged.

I get 12 hours of constant vaping of off my 2 rcr123's stuffed into the chuck.
