OK, I have recieved my 801 to 510 adapter from altsmoke, and wanted to show off how sexy this device is w/a 510 atty ... I love the copper 801, but I also love to mix it up every now and again......

Actually, this is built like this just for youtubes reasons, as well as being able to adjust to those crazy attys that work on one device and not the other. Its actually quite the amazing touch. Its hard to explain w/out showing it to you and unfort, I dont have a video cam or Id show it. Its in the manual how to use thhis function and if it DOES comes loose, theres always the Lifetime warranty, but it seems the designers meant this to be the way it was, so the user can adjust it as needed and w/the batt pressed firmly against it, as its also the batt connection, I think if it were loose it wouldnt make a difference bc when its all out together it would have any room to wiggle.

The manual says to reset this "pin", press the bigger piece until it stops, then turn upside down on a flat surface and the pin sets in place at optimal seating. Its great bc I can re-seat it to make connection to "funny attys" instead of having to resort to the staple mod...

I see your point of view, but we'll just have to disagree. It has a slight friction fit, thats why you can move it up and down by pressing on it firmly, it will eventually loosen to the point it won't hold its setting anymore and when you go to tighten the atomizer it will press the center pin back down in. He even warns that it may lose electrical contact and require readjustment just from shipping it so the fit is already quite loose. He may have a fix already in the works...

It can hold 510 and 901 atomizers, very well build no dipping in batteries, great vapor, all in all very good product

When they offer protected batteries with the unit (and they said they plan to in the near future) I will take a look at buying one. I don't want to buy a mod that comes with batteries just to toss those and buy other batteries to use with it.

Also, I wish there was a 510 version, but I suppose buying a separate adapter would be an acceptable alternative. It does look pretty sweet with the silver atty.

Not sure I'd like the button placement, though. But I could overlook that in favor of its other qualities.

I see ur point, although it seems that once everything is screwed in tightly on both sides, it would become pressure fit, thus eliminating the chance for a electrical contact failure...i dunno, time will tell
