But I see a turning of the tide going on in the last couple of months. If you go to ASH's website--no a word about the e-cig compared to just a lttle while ago when they posted everyday about what they did to try to destroy the e-cig. I see brick and morter signing up again for selling with NJOY and CVS. I see the FDA very quite about its stance and embargo.

Calm before the storm? Maybe. But in the alternative, ever since the UK's division of ASH welcomed the e-cig, I just have been noticing thinks backing off to some extent.

FWIW, I received a call today from a VP of Purchasing for a fairly large convenience store chain that we'd been courting a few months ago. When the FDA scare hit, they broke off talks citing a "wait and see" approach.

When I called back this morning, she was out for the Turkey Day holidays but you can bet I'll have a display case and signage ready as soon as I can get back in touch. I am cautiously optimistic, but these are the best "seller's vibes" I've received in a long while.

PACT may eliminate some small online suppliers, but retail sales may very well be the future for the industry. SE and Njoy seem to have some sort of inside track or they wouldn't be bringing their marketing out of hibernation and CVS may just be the first to gamble on wide commercial retail sales.

If that is the case, SE and Njoy won't enjoy their market share for long.

I see it this way, when they started restricting analog cigarettes, there wasn't much we could say in defense of them. They are dangerous to our health and it's very possible that second hand smoke is dangerous to others.

The e-cigarette is another story, there are many things that we can say in defense of it and their arguments against it are very flimsy. We are fighting back and they are taking notice.

I saw a news story on a local channel a couple of days ago, the "control freaks" want chocolate milk banned from schools. They say it is making the kids obese.

When will the silliness stop??

You obviously fail to grasp the fact that our having had the opportunity to use a new type of indefinite-term nicotine replacement product before it has been fully tested and approved does not in any way, shape, or form, excuse the manufacturers from going through at least the same safety testing and approval process that an ordinary short-term nicotine replacement product does. Like it or not, drug companies that have spent millions of dollars in getting their nicotine replacement product approved before being legally permitted to market their product DO have rights. And, like it not, the FDA DOES have the responsibility to ensure that a drug product is safe for its intended use BEFORE that product should be permitted to be sold.

I'd rather be forced to find or create my own ecig alternative, than to become some feckless stooge for copycat outlaw manufacturers.
