Default Anyone ask Chinese manufacturers

what they are going to do with their e'cigs and all if that ban gets passed?
Looks like they have some big factories, and USA is a pretty big chunk of business.
I'm wondering, since we owe China a trillion or so bucks, how much pressure can they put on the gov here? I mean if someone loaned me that much money, I'd be really really really nice to them.

I honestly don't think there will be a ban. And I have a strong gut feeling that these Chinese companies, ultimately, work for big tobacco, and the ecig has been in the works for more than a decade, and this FDA deal has been all part of the plan the whole time, including the products we are using/testing for them now.
There's a bigger picture, and a strategy put in place, by people who belong to an exclusive club, and we aint in it.

I think that's nothing more than hearsay... speculation. There is no need for such a theater to appease to the minuscule fraction of the population that uses, or even knows about electronic cigarettes.

I'd say it's more practical to say, "If anything, China would own Big Tobacco."

Why would they stop? They still make and sell many imitation things. Just go to any china town and look for designer stuff. Same with imitation electronics. Can anyone say an ipod with a radio function.

I doubt China has any sway with the FDA. I am curious to know how much business the US really comprises. My feeling is that the number of US PV consumers are very small in comparison to Chinese consumers.

Well sure it's speculation, 100%.
But after reading that article, I was convinced.
If it is BT, I don't mind, I'm not at war with BT. Drop the Marlboro ecig tomarrow, I'll buy it..

Interesting. You what they say in the manufacturing biz "If we design it, Japan will perfect it, & China can make it for a penny".
