Default Dana Tyler CBS News spread more fear tonight

I saw this on TV about an hour ago.

N.J. Lawmakers Going After E-Cigarettes - wcbstv.com

I immediately emailed them with the facts about PG and asked them to interview an educated person, such as a pharmacist, who can attest to the qualities of PG.

You can email the news team at

Ignorance is contagious, it seems.

"They found e-cigarettes contain proprelyne glycol which is basically the chemical used to make the smoke in this product," said Albert J. Ferrara of the New Jersey Health Department. "We don't know how serious that could be, but, again, it is an ingredient used in antifreeze in our cars and that doesn't sound healthy to any of us."
Now that is just a blatent bold faced LIE. But then again, nothing but the best lies come from government. They sure spare no expense, do they?

Wow, that was just so blatent.

It's going to make my underground vaping all the more sweeter. I'm done trying to educate people when there are idiots like this that can spread this type of horse****.

If I were in jersey, you'd bet I'd be phoning the governor demanding that this idiot be removed from the Health Department.

You find water in antifreeze, but they seem to skip that fact.

You can count on the news media to do everything it can to report on anything negative it finds on ecigs. FDA-NEWS MEDIA. About the same in my book...

I really chalk that mistruth to shocking ignorance.

The man has no knowledge that propylene glycol is used in asthma medicines? That it was extensively studied in the early 1940s as a germicidal agent for use in military hospitals and barracks? That vaporized PG has been tested in primates, children and adults? That he can find it in just about every liquid medicine for digestion or ingestion?

That kind of ignorance is shameful in an individual in the health department of even the smallest rural county.

But I cannot believe he would lie for publication. I can believe he's an ignorant individual who brings shame on his position and profession.

Someone in New Jersey .. please enlighten him. Nicely. If BigJim undertakes that task, we can paint all of New Jersey red by next week ...

"That doesn't SOUND healthy to any of us." So nice to see this guy really makes informed decisions for THE DEPT OF HEALTH. Wonder what his thoughts on Dihydrogen Monoxide are?
