Wow! I mean just Wow! It really amazes me how the otherwise intelligent folks on this forum who are concerned about the future of e-cigs can degrade this discussion down to bashing the news network that segment aired on for ideological reasons that have NOTHING to do with e-cigs. Seriously folks this thread should be about debunking the misrepresentation of e-cigs on the media. Its no place ideological slant from eith side of the isle. If news bashing is all you want to accomplish take it the DNC or RNC websites forums. This is a place for e-smokers as a community not for a specific political party or ideological stance. J- |

fo·rum (fôr'əm, fōr'-) n. pl. fo·rums also fo·ra (fôr'ə, fōr'ə) 1. a. The public square or marketplace of an ancient Roman city that was the assembly place for judicial activity and public business. b. A public meeting place for open discussion. c. A medium for open discussion or voicing of ideas, such as a newspaper, a radio or television program, or a website. 2. A public meeting or presentation involving a discussion usually among experts and often including audience participation. 3. A court of law; a tribunal. [Middle English, from Latin; see dhwer- in Indo-European roots.] Bashing Fox News (or any other network news program) should be a part of any discussion when they have involved themselves in the issue.

The only stories that Rupert Murdoch gives a damn about are the ones that give his empire the biggest boost in profits. Why do you think that we seem to see ex VP Cheney criticising the current administration on a weekly basis, even when it is now none of his sodding business. No doubt it is in his interests to do so ![]() The neo-cons got their butts kicked last Nov, now they are looking for payback.

Bash Fox for shoddy reporting on e-cigs fine. Thats within the issue of this thread and belongs here. Bash Fox because you are on the Obama love train or are simply touting the party line for the Dems, not needed. That has no bearing on the dicussion of e-cigs and doesnt belong in this thread or this sub-forum. The subject of this thread is the report by Fox News but not weather they are partisan to one political party of another. J-

I'm glad you pointed that out. I missed that completely. And Epheon... Did you not see the deffention of the work Forum? Here it is again: fo·rum (fôr'əm, fōr'-) n. pl. fo·rums also fo·ra (fôr'ə, fōr'ə) 1. Now I want to take this part of the deffention out and highlight something: b. A public meeting place for open discussion. Now and open discussion means anything goes regardless of what the original subject was. It's exactly what were doing now ![]() ![]() ![]() Death to FOX NEWS!!!!![]() ![]()

It's not like the segment was O'Reilly or Glenn Beck, it was a morning 'fluff' show with a 3 minute segment limit, viewed literally by millions of disposable-income adults getting ready for work. SE put out a press release just recently that was captioned here on the forum under "sales of ecigs increase before Christmas' or something along those lines - why put out a 'position' press release, if they are being 'evaluated' in court, but not appear on a Fox segment, where it was obvious the hosts were exceptionally curious about the product? To the point the good doctor was actually taking both sides of the issue? What's the difference between a press release picked up by Reuters, and appearing live for 3 minutes, sidestepping sensitive questions while explaining the product? None that I see. What am I missing?
