I really don't think their report talked about vapor only the liquid in the cart.

Sorry, I didn't have time to read through it all. I'm too busy inhaling my mocha flavored antifreeze. *PUFF PUFF* |

It's amazing that a doctor can have such a limited perspective. To think that this guy has real patients. He must prescribe placebos.

has anyone gotten their hands on the full FDA report with actual figures of the test? Would there be a better chance of getting it if we where to ask our local public official to get a copy of it?

DEG was found in one of the SE carts. This is according to the FDA. FDA and Public Health Experts Warn About Electronic Cigarettes What's interesting is the FDA did not divulge that DEG is APPROVED by the FDA at certain levels... www.fda.gov/downloads/Drugs/.../Guidances/ucm070347.pdf "The relevant safety limit for DEG is 0.1%, as recognized by the USP monograph for glycerin. The Agency recommends that a manufacturer perform the identity tests, including the limit test for DEG" | |

And we know the figures, at least to the extent they were reported. I wish I could link you to it, but I don't know where to find it now. I'm betting Vocalek could hook you up though.

Summary is here; Summary of Results: Laboratory Analysis of Electronic Cigarettes Conducted By FDA Final Report is here; http://www.fda.gov/downloads/Drugs/S.../UCM173250.pdf The ABC story is well-- not fit for human consumption; Real facts; -Only 1 cart tested had 1% DG. -The FDA knows exactly what is in these carts (It is in the report).... -E-cigs come in 2, 3, or 4 part designs- and not just 3 part designs. -E-cigs, as far as I know, aren't made by big tobacco companies. -Purchasing pre-filled NJoy and SE brand carts is more expensive than buying generic cigarettes by the carton in most states and premium cigarettes in some states. Did they get anything right?? |
