The E-Cigarette in Public Have you used e-cigarettes in no-smoking areas? How did those around you react? Is it the perfect way around the smoking ban?

Default Iowa discovers e-cigs

Decent article, but note the sidebar about Crown 7's ludicrous and incorrect statement that the FDA has said it won't get involved - and the FDA's response. Still, good publicity; if you've got time, read those vitriolic reader comments.

I hate when the article begins with words like "smokers evade ban". Why not "Great news, a new way for smoker's to control their cravings for nicotine". It makes me feel like we don't even stand a chance.

No. Not doomed.

Fight back. Time the anti-smoker (regardless of whether it's tobacco or e-cigs) with their big pharma and medical profession backers got told where to get off.

and start fighting back because once they get a total smoking/vaping ban, they'll move onto something else, then something else and so it will go on.

Anti-smoking, be it tobacco or e-cig really gets me going

Hey I am in Iowa and I want to read more about what you are talking about...the law here for the cigarette ban specifies tobacco products and e-cigarettes are not a tobacco product. Please send me the link to this news...When I finally get my e-cigarette, Im going anywhere and EVERYWHERE and vaporizing wherever I want. I had one that I bought before and it lasted a whole 4 hours,,,it was junk but during that time I used the e-cigarette at my desk while I was at work! This will be interesting. The e-cigarette is harmless...thanks!

Lightbulb silly me

Well, if I would have scrolled down and seen the link to the article in the first place,,,geesh

Anyway, there is a blogspot on there and I put my 2 cents worth in it and then some. If any state is going to raise a stink about e-cigarettes, Iowa will be the one... Iowa has it's own laws for a number of things. Anyway, if anyone wants to go and discuss e-cigarettes on the blog on there too, please do. Trust me those are read.

During the warmer days everyone is out on the patio smoking and the bar is empty anyway............
Picture this,,,,winter in Iowa,,,going out for a beer afterwork,,,everyone inside, e-cigarettes are everywhere and the blue, green, orange and red lights are going strong,,,

Yes, my friends,,,Iowa politicians are going to try and have a heyday.....I can't wait.

as a fellow Iowa resident, I can tell you I have had a blast vaping in places I used to be able to smoke. People get all up in arms about it too, until you explain you aren't doing anything wrong. I was finishing up college this summer and walked around smoking my gamucci in the building. It was alot of fun.
