The E-Cigarette in Public Have you used e-cigarettes in no-smoking areas? How did those around you react? Is it the perfect way around the smoking ban?

Unhappy not looking good in the UK

my favourite club wont allow it, the betting shop attached to the club said NO, and now my local football club, middlesbrough their safety officer has sent me an e-mail saying they will not be allowed ....doh...... all citing it is too difficult to police and differentiate between the real thing.
so unless we can have a smokeless version without the glowing tip ( but better than the nicotine inhalors curently available from the chemist ) it aint gonna work in public.

you could try being discreet with a real cigarette ! I dont want to be, I asked first to avoid any hassle and being barred and was told I would be barred in all 3 places I asked despite showing it and explaining it broke no laws and contained no risks...........

This is due to lack of knowledge of the e-cig the majority of people on the planet have never seen one before.its only a matter of time before the nation knows about vaping, how long is this off?who knows its anybodys guess.we need more suppliers like pillbox who are trying to get the message to the general public.

Buy a blue or green LED battery from e-cigs.co.uk and ask again, politely pointing out that this will clearly differentiate between your e-cig and the real thing.

It looks like johnsoncreeksmokejuice.com do a non PG (no vapour) version of their e-liquid. I don't know if e-cigs.co.uk will stock it here in the UK though. You could ask.

I think you've got the wrong end of the stick there Kezza. Johnson creek do indeed make a non pg liquid but it has veg glycerine in instead to produce the vapour. It still 'smokes' but it's ok for people with sensitivity to pg.

Welcome to the forum.

Default It's only Bingo, but a start?

SMOKING BAN ON ICE FOR BINGO HALL - ENGLAND
FEATURE ON BBC NEWS CHANNEL - Tuesday, 1 July 2008
Mecca and Gala chains to follow...

Beacon Bingo will be selling the "e-fag" to customers within the next three weeks. Its is one of a number of bingo halls and licensed premises to see its profits fall since the nationwide smoking ban was introduced 12 months ago.

Smokers at Beacon Bingo are backing the hi-tech bid to tempt back players who have been put off by the ban.

''What a piece of kit. I have been using one for 3 weeks now. Only guy at the pub smoking whilst watching euro final. I could have sold it 10 times over. Used in nightclubs, restaurant and work with no hassle only fascination. Best of all it saves money as the cost of the refills are cheaper than a pack of cigs. Great idea !"
