| The E-Cigarette in Public Have you used e-cigarettes in no-smoking areas? How did those around you react? Is it the perfect way around the smoking ban? |

I've yet to see someone else vape. This doesn't really surprise me though because I live in a fairly small "Hick" town I guess you could say but I'm trying my darnedest to get the word out there so hopefully I'll be seeing them soon. |

The only person I've seen vaping so far (at least I think that's what it was) was at Memphis airport a year ago. I didn't know about e-cigs back then so I assumed it was some sort of medical inhaler for asthma or something like that. When I saw him blowing smoke looking vapour into the air I felt my craving for a puff even stronger after a 9 hour flight and especially in the US where I always feel guilty for being a smoker. It never dawned on me that this could have been the answer for me too. I'm really glad I finally stumbled upon this insanely brilliant little device. No more bloody cravings for the throat hit as I can have it any time |

I haven't seen anyone in or around this one horse town in Iowa. I am going to Vegas in 2 weeks and will be keeping my eyes open and looking for vapors while there.

I have not, but a co-worker of mine did, and he told me this guy was at a bar and was chain-smoking the crap out of his e-cig. He would take a bunch of drags, then light up a normal cig, smoke that, put it out, refill his e-cig, vape that tell empty, light up a normal cig, etc. Apparently this guy must have been a 10 pack a day smoker. Cause, holy ****e. |

I haven't seen anyone yet, but then I don't go out to eat much. Everyone seems to have business cards. Did you get them from a supplier or have them made? I like the PV so much I'd love an opportunity to "sell" one to a smoker even though I don't sell them. I'd also like to see some of the different models in person. My 510 is the only PV i've even seen in person. I didn't get a close look at the SE since the sales guys where so pushy. -Gooney0 |

I openly vape at university, at work, and in public. My boss was so excited when I got it, she asked me (!) if I planned to use it at my desk. All of my professors think I'm kind of silly, my geology professor ordered one just so he could take it apart and my econ prof always asks me, "So what flavor are you smoking today?" I run into a LOT of vapers. Of course, they're mostly the people I've 'converted'. There's 7 of my coworkers who have switched to e-cigs and 14-15 of my classmates at UA. I've been placing bulk orders so we all pay less....the hardest part is keeping track of everything! The smokers at my company are a really tight-knit group, so it's really funny to see a half-dozen or so people outside vaping along side the smokers in the cold even though they don't have to be out there. Some of them have been smokers for 10, 15, 20 years. One woman who switched completely to e-cigs was a smoker for almost 45 years. I honestly haven't had a single negative response. I can't count the number of times I've ended up giving a mini 'class' to people who ask (and people who were eavesdropping...lol) about my e-cig. Especially in bars and coffee shops (hey, I'm a college kid, I go where there is beer and free wifi). | |

Besides the friend of mine that showed me his blu, I've only seen one other person with a PV. It was in a restaurant in DC and he was explaining it to the table next to him. They had never heard of e-cigs and loved the idea of them. He was open about using it in public, and after the initial shock, no one seemed to mind. People were even congratulating for quiting smoking! I was happy to see someone else doing what I've been doing since I started vaping. Every time I vape in public, I end up giving a lecture and demo for people, and then end up giving them info on where they can get one. It can be bothersome at times, but the more people that know about vaping the better. In fact, the only time I hide my PV is when I don't want to start a conversation...
