Default At work at the gas station...

Well I work at a Mobil gas station pumping and cashiering and although I still need to go out to vape it's not much of a problem cause there's a ton of downtime usually. So recently I started vaping at the pump when I'm putting $20-$30 in someone's tank on a card because it doesn't auto stop like cash does and it's a pain to walk away to vape and have to guess when it's close to done. Most people are intrigued and wonder what it is since I use a green, blue or purple led and until last night I haven't had a complaint only funny comments about pretending to smoke or funny looks.

Last night somebody pulled up to get $15 on their card so I put the pump in get everything started and puff on my 510 a few times. I get a shocked look from the woman in the passenger seat who quickly yells "Hey put that thing out, if you blow up my car I'm gonna kill you" I quickly give her a short demo once I hung up the pump and she changed her mind and apologized for yelling at me and just said she thought I was smoking and was scared for her life...

So long story short I have yet to have anyone that has a problem with my vaping at the pump and I have printed out some business cards for the forums and have given out maybe 20-30 of them to people that thought it was a great idea and wanted to know more about it so hopefully they come back and I get to see some smokers converted to vapers

LOL if you blow up her car she won't need to kill you. You're standing in between a gas tank and a gas pump.

Haha yea it's pretty funny now a week later I've given out a total of 58 cards to people that are interested in it because if they aren't in a hurry or if it's not busy they will just hang around and chat and so many people are enthralled by the idea of the e-cig and there's a lot of people who will run in and buy a pack of analogs and complain about the price so I'll just give them a little demo of the ecig and hand out a business card which are set up like this
Front:
link to e-cig forums at the bottom with some writing saying, "The electronic cigarette is a great substitute for smoking and for some a great quit smoking device. It uses a liquid with nicotine in it that will give satisfy the addiction to nicotine and give you the feeling that you are smoking without the extra chemical additives, bad smelling car and clothes, and restrictions on where you can smoke!"
Back:
A picture of the components (cart, atty, and battery) from the totally wicked starter kit that I scanned and put on the card because it perfectly explains the different parts and what they do and how they work.

I thought that analogs were a HUGE source of revenue for gas stations..... If im wrong please correct me.

Having an income is a very special thing to have in these times. Don't drive too many customers away from tobacco! (I sound like big tobacco now...)

You should get some starter kits and resell them

I still wouldn't vape while pumping, the atomizer can start glowing if you're not careful.

Haha they are and for every person I potentially turn on to e-cigs theres like 5 that aren't interested enough to ask about them and just go in and buy their newports so I'm not too worried about that and Timtam yea its possible but I mean I used to smoke at the pump at this place where the gas attendant just sat in his glass box reading the paper/watching tv without any problems so I'm not too worried about an encased glowing atty compared to an analog and anyways I just set the pump on and vape a couple feet away and talk to whoevers getting gas if they don't just roll up their window.

Its just as dangerous to vape at a gas pump as it is to smoke...Gasoline fumes are nothing to really screw around with...be careful freeskier

*sigh*

(General) We've been through this. Tons of times. Stop making claims of danger where none is apparent, you're making assumptions.

Frees, keep printing out those cards

Ecigs are not intrinsically safe.
Luckily, the gas fumes are diluted below the LEL most of the time.
I wouldn't want to be holding the pump on the day when an explosive mix caresses your hot ecig.
Have fun.
