The E-Cigarette in Public Have you used e-cigarettes in no-smoking areas? How did those around you react? Is it the perfect way around the smoking ban?

Major league baseball will NEVER be the same Last night, I had the honor of being the 1st person to Vape @ the Jake! (way better name... i hate progressive field, but i digress) I also got to see a triple steal--which was also very cool. Anyway, i didn't vape in my seat--too many little kids around--but when my buddy and i went up to the box office to swap some tickets for new dates, i took advantage of the diversion to grab a few puffs. After only the second, I heard the old dreaded, "No smoking here!" call from an approaching security guard. Calmly, I unscrewed the battery from the atomizer to demonstrate that i was not, in fact, smoking at all... He was amazed. He also asked where HE could get one! He then called over his supervisor and asked me to demonstrate. I happily obliged and explained the devise. The supervisor broke into a grin and said "high-tech cigarette! I like it!" He also assured me that since no tobacco or smoke was involved, i was in no violation of their policy and that i was welcome to puff away! But asked me to be discreet lest old school smokers got the wrong idea and lit up. I really need to establish a commission deal with one of our suppliers... I could have made 50 sales for them last nite! The moral of the story is: I haven't enjoyed a game that much in years!!!! And yes, we won! Sorry Chicago.... ![]()

Great story - now if everyone can react that way - we might have a chance...

Imagine the enlightened day, Bananadoc, when the bullpen is full of uniformed players not leaning forward to spit chewing tobacco every few seconds, but instead all puffing calmly on their e-cigs or contemplating a home run while sipping an e-pipe. Or, better yet, I'm gonna invent e-chewing tobacco! I'll call it E-Chew. Someone will shout "E-Chew" to a vendor and other fans will chorus together, "God bless you."

Hey bob - for your e-chew why not just figure out some small appliance for the mouth - stuff it with synthetic fiber in e-cigs and douse it with the nico sauce. Oh well - good luck

We'll make it kinda like those wax Halloween lips. It just slips over the teeth. When you blow through it, it produces a shrill whistle to cheer the local team at bat. But all the while, it leaks liquid onto the gums that will be absorbed like it is from snus or chew! To refill your lips, just drip into the strip. And we'll put team logos on the lips! Go Rays!

True story: I was going snorkeling in the Florida Keys and knew we'd be floating around for an hour or more, looking at and diving the coral reefs. I knew I'd want a cigarette. So I drilled a quarter-inch hole near the top of the snorkel, where I could put a lit cigarette. I figured I'd get my smoke that way. Just suck hard on the snorkel. Didn't work. Air coming through the snorkel's intake diluted the smoke to nothing. When I put a hand over the top of the snorkel, I soaked my cig and it went out. Which brings us to a better idea. We put a hole in the center of wax lips and stick our e-cig in there! When we need a draw, we just suck in through the wax lips. And, honest, when I went searching the Web for an image of wax lips, this was the first one I found with a human in it. It is kinda funny though. ![]()
