Exclamation Mini DSE901 Users Please Read...

Hi Everyone

There has recently been a design change to the DSE901 cartridge. We have been in contact with the manufaturer and can assure you that this is an INTERIM CHANGE ONLY and a new cartridge is being worked on and will be available within the week or so (see picture).

Rest assured this will not affect the launch of the new DES901B.

According to the manufacturer the design change was instigated to improve the draw of the DSE901 and prevent some leakage issues that some customers have encountered.

Please note that this has mainly affected our latest flavoured stock. For any new orders we will reverse the stock cycle in an effort to provide mainly original carts, although your orders may contain some of the "current" carts.

The original cart (left), the current cart (centre) and the new cart (right)

We will not be refreshing our order of flavoured carts until the new cart has been released. Normal tobacco stock remains original.

As we understand it, other suppliers have the same issue.

If you have any questions please do feel free to ask.

Any updates to the situation will be posted here first.

Thanks for reading.

Ah. That explains it We did wonder why one of the carts was different to the others (son made off with that one but let me try it - Marlborough - nice)

Still prefer the vanilla with cherry as a close second. It's like having an ice-cream in one hand and a ciggy in the other. Mmmm

Do the redesigned carts have the same capacity as the older style or has it been increased ?

That for me would be one of two changes I'd love to see, a bigger cart as they are a wee bit tiny. And a change to the inhaler to be closer to the shape of the penstyle inhaler. That's only because I'm a pipe smoker and like that slightly thinner profile to hold between my teeth

The current shipping cart design is actually smaller, which is what is causing some concern, but the newly developed cart should be back to at least the original capacity.

I don't think the design of the inhaler part has changed too much though.

I'll let you know when I know

Yes the current carts are really far to small, I going through 4 or 5 of the things a day ... not good !

If you have any input into future designs, would you please suggest 2 things ...

1. an increase in the cartridge size. The DSE901 is a fantastic mister but it's really let down by the small capacity carts

2. a better quality mouthpiece. Something closer to the penstyle would be perfect, much nicer to hold in the mouth.

Those two changes would as far as I'm concerned anyway, make the DSE901 pretty close to the perfect e-mister for me. Both of them would potentially increase the overall length of the unit, but the new batteries coming out that are shorter would counter that.

I'm still new to the DSE901, so perhaps you could clarify something for me ?

Looking at your picture, it appears the original cart was a one piece unit, the currently sold one is two pieces. Would it then follow that the capacity of the current two piece is dramatically less than the original design ? Perhaps smaller by as much as 50% or more ?

Hi Michael

Yes, the "current" interim version is alot smaller. On closer inspection of the "coming soon" cart (right hand pic) it actually looks a little larger than the single part (left hand picture).

Look at the way it flares out at the atomiser end to the whole size of the atomiser barrel. Thats bigger than the original and goes in to about the same size as it was originally.

It's obviously a global problem if you have the same issues in NZ too then?

LOL!!

Absolutely no problem whatsoever Michael At least I know that I'm not the only UK supplier with the problem.

Did your "current" supplier contact you regarding the issue at all?

Your welcome at any time
