Yes indeed... I will be there tomorrow afternoon. Probably around noon. Save me a tank, PLEASE? The Polycarb tubing I'll be cutting today (if all goes well) is the 1/8" wall, but at least it will hold liquid until I can get a tank from you tomorrow. The 3/4" x 7/8" 1/16" wall will be here Monday...so I will have some spares.

I can't wait to try the mini too! I have six batteries packed for it. I have been vaping on Stardusts for 2 days and cannot tell you how dull the flavors are. What a difference.

I'm looking forward to meeting you, Karen, Bumpi, Rich and UncleDagger (did I miss anyone? Ripple?).

If everything is working right, when there is juice in the tank, the heat from the coil should cause the juice to move up the wick similar to how a candle works. Through convection and capillary action, the heat warms the mesh which starts the cold juice moving towards where it is being evaporated from through the capillary action of the juice being in contact with the mesh and attempting to even itself back out.

If there is juice in a tank system like this, typically the coil furthest away from the tank will glow first on down the line till all have dried up the juice available in the wick and they all glow brightly.

This could indicate a short if you notice a very small and very hot spot on the coil where the coil takes longer to glow. If this were the case you would get a metallic burnt flavor from the juice. You would also notice a stream of steam coming from that spot, almost like if you drilled a hole in a steam pipe. I don't think this is the case though from what you have described.

    thanks once again lorderos.

zen, I really do not think it is a short as it does glow eventually. just not till after the rest.
that is only true, if it really doesnt take that long for the full coil to heat up....kinda like a snake moving around the wick, heading in a downward spiral, which I have seen with thicker juices in the wick..... it shouldnt take more than a second or two for the whole coil to glow regardless....completely dry would be considerably less... otherwise, if it takes a condiderably longer time, then you do have a shorted coil.

I don't know what I would do without Amazon. I rarely go to that site for something I need, and not find it. The polycarbonate tubing was the icing on the cake...and it has Prime Shipping. Unreal. They lose so much money with my Prime Membership because I take FULL advantage of it.
