I've been working on this for the site to try to give folks an idea of the ohms / amps / watts relationship. Really just putting Ohms Law into a spreadsheet. This is for single coil cartomizers and atomizers. Still trying to figure out how to chart dual coils. The coloring on the wattage is MY opinion. Other people, especially some high voltage vapers will disagree. Also this assumes that you are using a battery with a high enough C rating and capacity (mAh) to support the current and power requirements.

Basically, GREEN is the sweet spot, BLUE is a bit unsatisfying, too cool, not enough vaper and RED is way to hot, juices burn, may cause sun spots

Ok, I'm impressed. Now here's how I really see all of you hard work. It would appear that a 2.5ohm single coil carto would be the beast of choice since it seems to hit in the green "sweet spot" all the way up to almost 6v. So why don't I see more 2.5 cartos and people that use them? I mean I have seen them and heard of folks using them, but I hear and see a lot more about 1.7, 2, and 3. I'm sure most people don't vape at 6, but I'm just thinking if I was going to only buy one carto for the rest of my vaping life, wouldn't it make sense to go with the 2.5 for versatility???

I'm also confused as hell about dual coils and LT's. I've heard that using a DC with a LT the LT automatically shuts down to around the 3.7 range because of the regulated switch. I've also heard that people are vaping well over that with a DC on a LT. Then I've heard others say that the second group is just stupid and they are really running at 3.7 no matter what they have the device set at again because of the switch.

Then, how does low resistance figure into all of this?

I really need to grab an electronics class if I'm going to continue to vape, smoking was so much easier.
Anybody writing a vaping for dummies guide to electronics???

Anyway, I love your charts, and I can see that preferences may vary, but it's a great place to start and can answer many basic questions.

Apuck, you are right about the 2.5 ohm cartos (I actually have some on order BTW). They are good across a wide range of voltages.

As far as dual coils go, the resistance of the cartomizer that the switch detects is about 1.5 ohms even though the cartomizer actually has 2, 3.2 ohm coils. So the L-Rider by spec should back off around 3.8 or 3.9 volts. Why I think you see some folks say they shut down and others say they can go higher is that I believe (no facts here, just speculation) that there is a lot of variability in the switches from China. Some are on spec at 2.5 amps. Others give you more legroom. I've used L-riders and Dual coils and single coils up to around 5 volts before. I've also had them back off around 4.2 volts. YMMV. I'm vaping a Lambo right now using a SMOK Tech DC Tank at 4.5 volts. It's working great.

The 2.5's you have coming in, are they long enough to fit into a DCT?

They are the XL size. They are long enough but the paper would have to be peeled and then they would need to be punched.

That's easy enough, I do it now for the 1.7s

Had some web site issues so customers for the last 30 hours or so couldn't check out. I know of at least 10 incomplete orders and I'm sure that some folks just gave up. I apologize for the hassle and will be keeping the sale prices active through tomorrow night. If you do have any issues, you can use the CRM function under My Account and an email will come directly to me. Thanks to everyone that tried to place an order and my sincerest apologies.

I was thinking about starting another contest. I'm open to ideas.
