I just got news from my chinese supplier that if I put an order in Tuesday, I won't get it till Feb. 10th!!! Because of their chinese new year that starts Jan 22nd thru Feb 1st. Yes, I received very similar information also. I'm glad I got my order in when I did. They definitely do not mess around.

Well it is the equivalent of our Christmas/New Years , give them a break lol
Not all retailers / suppliers will be DOA for the dates mentioned... the guy I get my nick knacks from is shut Jan 24th to Feb 2nd...each business will be slightly different.

At least these Chinese suppliers give fair warning of delay and the dates. I'd give them credit for that.

    Default Chinese New Years

Truth is, (and anyone can correct me) but from what I have been told this is the only holiday they get. Where US has thanksgiving/4th of july/xmas/new years etc. Chinese only celebrate(get time off) for Chinese New Years. This is just about ALL of china. I used to work in the computer industry doing sales. Most computer stuff comes from china(as well as everything else). During that time they get backed up, so alot of times when you place an order they don't get to it before holiday and are real backed up for a couple of weeks from everyone trying to restock. This usually causes prices to go up. I was wondering if this is why some resellers in the US prices have gone up?

From experience, I know that most factories in China give their workers 2-6 weeks off for the Chinese New Year holiday. But this really depends on how the bosses feel and how business is going. If they're swamped with orders, less vacation time is usually given. My company imports from China and I know we ordered 2 extra containers of goods in December to make up for the delays in Feb.

The Chinese version of Labor/workers day (not sure what its called in English) is also a big holiday but not nearly as big as New Year.

I guess we're just gonna have to stock up on our personal e-cig supplies just incase.

Puresmoker here I come!!! He's supposed to have new liquid and stuff tomorrow.
Cheese graters could also be marketed and sold as sponge ruiners. Think about it.

Chinese New Year is the biggest holiday for the PRC there is as its the only time of year in which all companies/factories are expected to let their workers travel home to celebrate with their families. Many of China's workers are migrant workers; from poorer provinces going for manufacturing jobs in the richer ones.

We also celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival among other things. The workers may get the day off, but its not nearly long enough for a worker to go back to their hometown as most of them use rail to travel.

You guys ought to see the Chinese New Year parties in HK.
    Crazzzzzzzyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!
