Default some scredriver questions i think need an answer..

i cant post there so i will link to the thread..

    screwdriver

    atomizers not fitting properly..

there are two basic type of 901 atomizer.. the DSE 901 type and the RN 4075 type..

the DSE type are slightly fatter then the RN type

the same applies to classic style atomizers.. they are similar but not all exactly the same.. the threaded ends differ slightly.. lady pipe buyers are finding this problem..

now back to the SD... the recess hole size in the end has been carefully arrived at to take the slightly fatter DSE atomizers whilst still offering structural support to the smaller RN type..

but nothing is perfect and the odd "extra" fat DSE atomizer with more paint than normal might be a little tight.. its production tolerances in the atomizers and the fact the chinese change the thread design slightly as they see fit that make it hard to produce something that can take all generic atomizers that get aimd at it..

we are having exactly the same problem with classic adapters.. we think we have it about right... but the odd atomizer might well be tight or not fit properly..

we currently ship the shiny RN4.75 type from ruyandirect china and the shiny classic BE112 type from bestecig.com china.. other types should fit but some might be tight or not fit properly..

so far out of the 7 RN atomizers i have , 3 fit properly , 4 do not . 2 black and 1 silver fit ... 1 silver 1black and 2 white do not

as far as i can tell it's because of the paint on the white atomizers

i'm sure this does not help one bit . i believe them to all be the RN atomizers and not "real" 901s

::EDIT:: if it helps all my black atomizers came from thesmokelessshop.com and the white and silver came from puresmoker

I have one 901 type and two RN4075, both black and no fitment issues. I am receiving 5 atomizers from pingonlines in black sometime this week and I'll let ya know!

i must admit we dont check that many different types now.. not having any reports of problems we didnt think there were fitting problems with the 901 atomizers with the hole size we use....

we have hit the problem with classic type atomizer just recently whilst trying to make adapters..

your report of some RN painted ones not fitting grim is a new one.. the RN type are or at least were a slightly smaller diameter..

your SD might have a smaller than should be hole grim.. or a badly centered threaded piece..

its also possible the quality control of these small brass threaded pieces is getting worse.. the factories are very busy production tolerances may be slipping..

we check all the atomizers we send out.. we found a %5 "not screw into the battery" with the last batch of fifty.. this is down to bad treads in the atomizers.. they do screw in but need a lot of force..

so this is not simply an SD hole size problem.. i think e cig kits are checked for fit before boxing.. atomizers bought lose are not...

it is something both suppliers and customers need to keep an eye on ..

you know i was thinking that it was the thread on the atomizer , one of my silver atomizers from puresmoker screws in but it's a pain in the ass , i'm afraid i'm going to either break the atomizer or the connection on the SD
