Great review Scott! The 084 is a great little e-cig! Very realistic too!

Thank you for all you do!

I bought from both nucig and lallaboutique. I had to replace 2 batteries and a charger from nucig and their communication and after sales service was borderline idiotic to say the least and would really recommend against dealing with them. Having said that even though both batteries look the same the ones from nucig are a little easier to draw from but the communcation from lallaboutique was awesome, immediate response to emails and very courteous replies. The emails from nucig were always copy and paste from their website faq and somewhat arrogant. Definitely a no go in my opinion. You can find my feedback as mannwhite100.

I started with one of these but could never quite get the results that Scott did apart from my USB Passthru

The disadvantage for me personally is that it is so real looking that I got sick of people asking me if I was smoking

I now smoke a Titan 510 and there is absolutely no comparison - its a whole new world but I was happy enough with this until I tried a Titan to be fair

Also the juice is really nice

I purchased from lallaboutique and it was always good customer services/product

And I made plenty of use of Scotts discount code - thank you kindly

Hi, newbie here, just registered y'day... I first came across electronic cigarettes at the gadget show in Birmingham n just recently bought the E-pro2 from E-lites (elitecigarettes.co.uk) for £59.99.

I wasn't too happy with it, for a few reasons. The red battery that came with the E-pro2 didn't work whereas the green one did. The cartridges were slightly smaller in diameter and when pushed on to the atomiser they split the plastic mouth peace. This happened to three cartridges. It was bigger than a cigarette both length and width, more like a super king. But it was mainly the weight that i didn't like, it was just to heavy, couldn't keep it in my mouth without holding it, something i feel makes it seem like a real cigarette. so is important to me.

Is this the most realistic e-cigarette to date?
Is the DSE084 light enough to hold in ur mouth without holding it???

I'm looking for a DSE084 with a portable charger case. anyone know the best place to get one in the UK? just thought id ask in case there is anywhere cheaper.

Back before I decided against the DSE084 (a while back—it's a bit of an older model, now) I think the best UK pricing I found may have been from Nucig, but lallaboutique was close and getting much better reviews from customers.

If you're open to other similarly-sized models, I don't know if the following vendors ship to the UK, but if you investigate their products and are interested, you may want to ask:

You may be interested in the Revolver Elite, which is brand new (mine's on its way). It measures 86 mm, so it's a smidge longer than the DSE084, but not appreciably so. Early reviews are very favourable, especially in terms of flavour, vapour production (for its size), and convenience. One potential drawback, if you're looking for the most realistic e-cig, is that its battery is currently only available with a blue LED. But in terms of size, weight, and usage, I think it'll be pretty good. And the portable charging case appears to be, hands-down, the best in the business so far: it has a backlit LCD display to show power remaining, a push-button to begin the charging process, and auto-shutoff when the battery is charged. (The DSE084's looks like an afterthought, and is the reason I finally decided against that model.)

There is also the venerable L88b, which is the blu and associated models. blu is currently in the middle of a case recall, which leads me to assume that the problem (faulty/dangerous batteries in the charging case) affects other L88b models as well, though I don't know for certain. Volcano e-cigs sells an L88b kit with orange LEDs, so they look very much like a real cigarette in use, though the texture on the batteries detracts from that a bit. I've been using L88b equipment from both blu and Volcano for months, and other than LED color, battery texture, and logo, they are identical.

Be aware that with ANY cigarette-sized (<90mm) model, you will be sacrificing a lot of throat hit, a little vapor production, and quite a bit of battery life. Battery life isn't a real concern if you have a good portable charging case and can finish charging one battery before you exhaust the other, and both the L88b and the Revolver ones can do that. But if you're a heavy smoker, the smaller models just might not be able to meet your needs.

    Good luck!

I think it holds a complete e-cig, five cartridges, and a charging second battery, but I'm basing that assumption on the pictures—the description provided is very poor. I think you'd be best off asking them, just to be sure.

Actually... now that I'm looking at it, I think that Nucig have switched to the L88b! That PCC really looks like, say, a white Volcano V-Pack! Compare the PCC in this Nucig picture:

    to this L88b model:

Would make sense, since I'm pretty sure the DSE084 PCC didn't carry an assembled e-cig—my memory may be failing, there, but it would certainly have been a deal-breaker for me.
