What are the differences in behavior between the AW IMR 14500 batteries and regular, cheapo, plain 14500 protected batteries?

I'm currently using Trustfire Flame Jackets but i would consider "upgrading" if i don't have to purchase another charger and the differences are worth it.

The flame jackets are notorious for overstating mAh. Having had them, I believe this. They drop off quickly. Protected AW are OK, but having all 3, I prefer the AW IMR. Hits harder & longer before the drop off. You'd really have to try to see for yourself. There is also a comparative vid out there that tests them under load that illustrates much better than this.

Well, i can't compare, but i was under the impression that they are dropping off pretty quickly. I chain vape, and i go through one of them in 3-4 hours tops, but the freshness lasts for just a few minutes.

EXACTLY! And the main reason why some are chanting 18650 Vmod, 18650 Vmod!!! 14500 batts are for those who don't vape a lot or new vapers just getting their feet wet I think. One good thing, the AW IMRs charge really quickly. I keep 4 in rotation and chain vape too.

What about the charger? I have the Trustfire Multicharger TR-001, is it fine for those AW IMR?

Your charger is fine. I read in another thread the AW IMRs will not be here until the end of next week. Seems everyone is out with the release of mods that use them.
