Default Video Review - The EVO by Intellicig

YouTube - Intellicig EVO Video review

This is a video review of the EVO by Intellicig (M-401).

(I missed the "consistency" score in the video...It got an 8, as outlined, below...Very consistent performer, not a single complaint from me, there)

    Battery Life - 10
    Vapor production - 8
    Throat hit - 8
    Cut off - 5
    Down time - 2
Draw Weight - Mouth inhale : Light to medium / Direct inhale : medium.
    Switch reliability - 5
    Consistency - 8
    Overall reliability - 10
    Customer Service - 8
    Shipping - 8
    Overall score - 8

    Hardware review criteria -

    1) In all cases I will use a fully charged battery, removed from the charger within 5 minutes of the start of the review.
    2) In all cases I will use a clean, freshly primed atomizer. All atomizers will be past the "factory prime" stage in order to provide accurate expectations.
    3) In all cases, I will use a brand new cartridge, unpackaged on cam.

All hardware will be tested over time before it is reviewed. Each review will simply be a visual summary of the information I have gained from using the hardware over at least a 24 hour period.

    Review scoring as as follows;

Battery life - Scores the full life of the battery, from first draw to flashing light. - 1 point per hour.
Vapor production - Scores the amount of vapor visible on exhale.
Throat hit - This covers the amount of throat hit ON AVERAGE. Some models give a better hit when warmed up so this will be taken in to consideration
Cut off - Scores how long the e-cig can be drawn on before it cuts off and stops cooking the atomizer.
Down time - How long is the user forced to wait after a cut-off. Longer wait = lower score.
Draw weight - This defines how easy or hard it is to "drag" from the unit. Free-flow to Lung-buster. This is un-scored because it is very subjective but should be mentioned.
Switch reliability - Does it not light when it's supposed to? Does it light up when it shouldnt?
Consistency - Does the E-cig provide reliable, consistent vapor production and throat hit?
Overall reliability - Does the e-cig just work or does it require voodoo magic and constant fixing to make it go?
Customer service (This only applies to the supplier)
Shipping (This only applies to the supplier)
Overall score - This is the final, overall score and is NOT an average. It encompasses my feeling for all aspects of the e-cig and supplier experience.

Thanks for the review. The M402 (from abolutely e-cig) is my first e-cig. My experience mirrors yours except for reliability of atomizers. I'm becoming convinced that I'm just a ..... because I have killed 10 attys in a little over a month of use. I just can't fathom how people can be using the same atty for months!
I think this may all have to do with being new and learning. The ecig was my life line to not smoking and I had that sucker in my mouth every waking minute. I'm sure that I abused the crap out of them and flooded them often as well.

The 402 batteries that I have last a couple of hours of constant vaping and have a pretty long cut off (7 secs?) and even if I force it to cut off, I can get it to light up again immediately.

( woohoo, my hundredth post and I just went over 1,000 analogs avoided!!)
Can't we all just get along?

Thanks for the review, generally agree on most points. Battery life is great for it's size, just not 8 hours 'solid vaping.' (but still good). Batteries and their cutoffs are obviously different based on whichh 401 battery, my current batteries (2 diff sources), generally go past 5 seconds (will re-check, they do go at least 5), and don't hit the cutoff delays('wait mode') older batteries do.

Just wondering, you say 'have to tinker with them a bit,' but also give them a 10 for reliability. That seems to be two opposing statements..or did you just mean due to the low cart capacity, etc?

    Good review!
Current vapes: GG Transformer, PS PT, 510/Dura/Titan/Yeti, M201, Greencig G300, M401/Pilot/Evo

When I talk about "tinkering" I'm referring to cleaning atomizers, making sure they aren't over-filled, trying to find new and creative ways around the INSANELY frustrating 2 minute down time, etc...

I've never had one break or stop working but that may be because I'm super-anal about maintenance...that's the tinkering bit

Hope that makes sense. <--- How it took me 5 tries to type that, I have no idea.

Can you describe how they're failing?

    Yeah, bro...those batteries last FOREVER.

It's been very common for me to go to work for a 10 hour day (0900 - 1900) and use the battery all day, changing out on my way home.

The battery life of the Evo (not just any 401...the Evo...it's a longer lasting battery than other 401's) is legendary.

    And thanks for the props

Yeah, it is. The 801 is comparable but I haven't found anything that beats it.

    AMAZING battery life.
