Really nice review! From what I have heard, the M series by Smoore do have a different atty design. Rather than the wick being made of "hair" or "fiber", I understand that theirs is an all ceramic design. I know the atty life I get with the 401's is much superior to that of the DSE's. After this review I will be trying the larger 201! If Figurehead has really put down his cigars, this has got to be one to try! I have read the real way to go is to mod a 401 atty to a cigar and that is vaping heaven? Maybe Smoore will come out with a cigar? They announced today that they have the passthru for the 400 series, so maybe the 200 series is right behind?

Must be something wrong with the bats you have because mine are no more sensitive than any other automatic e-cig battery I have....

Still liking the M201, although I was giving the 401 some love doing some dip testing, too, and the 510 on the PT as 'usual.' The J118 feels neglected, but hey, it's not my fault it's so inferior

Ok Weg, we KNOW you don't like the J118, but you are certainly in the minority there.

(can't get over it's way too light draw, will try the new attys).

As to the light draw, that's one thing I've never really understood by anyone that talks about a light draw. That is, maybe it was just the brand of analogs I smoked, but I always found the draw on analogs to be very easy and on e-cigs like the 510 I have to draw a lot harder than on an analog!
And since this thread is about the 201, why do you keep bringing up the J118?

I feel that while there is a pressure gradient through the battery from end to end (needed for the activation of the battery), most (probably in the area of ~+90%) of the air is being taken in from the threads/connection. The VX and the M201 are both interesting in terms of how they intake- the VX uses a physical spacer between the positive connection of the atty and the battery to create a ring. This ring acts like the holes on a M401 atomizer, thus the reason for the light draw. The M201 does this as well, just a little less elegantly. The battery screws into the atomizer but the metal "overhang" allows air to be sucked through. The draw on my M201 is a little harder than i would like, and might try to cut notches into the atomizer to help with airflow.

@RsL - because it's easier for someone to understand a statement about something they may not have experience with, if it's related in terms of something else they may be familiar with? And...crap. I thought I *did* buy another 118 bat, but didn't. Will try again on next purchase, and get one more bat, if you guys are all saying you don't have this sensitivity.

I guess it depends on the analogs..I moved from MBoro reds forever ago to mboro lights, then someone wound up with a g/f that smoked 100s, easy easier to get the same cartons...we split up, somehow I got used to the 100s, but pack them as well, so there's my 'analog-like,' I guess? A packed marlboro 100. A good point though, although I recall Camel light 100s being nearly identical from memory... ??

@ruuku - yes, the 'ring' is interesting on the J118. I've thought about possibly filing down the end of the atty slightly, to close up the tolerances, just a little bit. Besides, I suspect it *might* allow a 118 atty on my 510 passthrough then, as well.

For you, the M201 draw is too resistive ('thick'?), now between you and RsL, you're tempting me to go try a bunch of different analogs to see if there's a difference! Actually, I am curious now though, as obviously there certainly does seem to be differences there. The 201 and 510 are very close to 'just right' on draw for me.

The M201 is definately my new favorite and my Primary device as of 3 days ago. I still love my cigars, but they've been cleaned out and set aside to be used as spares in an emergency.

I think the draw on the 201 is the closest I have had to an analog (Camel & Camel Turkish Silvers).

As for the killer throat hit I initialy reported in my review, it looks like I may have gotten a rouge atomizer. I just got 2 more 201 atomizers and another 201 kit and have found the throat hit to be just fine without diluting the juice on any of the new ones.

The vapor production is incredible with all of my 201s, and surpasses all of my DSE701 cigars, and ties or beats my RN4062 cigars.

All of my 201 batteries are very sensitive. Just as much if not more so than my J118 (VX2) batteries. This is a minor concern for me tho, as the positives far outway any negatives.

THIS IS MY NEW PRIMARY DEVICE.

Earlier in this thread people asked if you can use the M201 atomizer with an 801 battery and the answer is YES. I have successfully used the atomizer with my 801 passthru, 801 battery and my AdaptEver cr123 battery unit. Simply follow this link to create a simple spacer that allows the positive connectors to make contact. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/for...atomizers.html. I substituted the staple for a piece of copper wire from the center of a coax cable.

Well yes it will make the draw a little harder.

Without a doubt the most durable atomizers out there are the m401s. So if the m201 have a similar attys....then that is really good news.

Thanks for that, have an 801 and 801 manual PT on the way, was hoping they were a match..sounds like nothing a staple won't fix :-)
