I have had my Bloog for 2 weeks and I like it. It's my first e-cig however, so I have nothing to compare it too. I wrote a review in the Bloog forum if anyone is interested. My concern right now is the batteries -- replacements/spares cost $35 which is more than a bit pricey.. Any one know of alternative options?

Didn't notice if they offered a USB passthrough, but if they did I'd strongly recommend it. I just tried the greencig battery and it seems to work fine...can't comment on the price.
vapnaway mentioned that the KR808, also known as the Vapor King at Vapor4Life and the Nebula at Vapornine and the Easy at Cigeasy batteries are compatible with the Bloog I believe. Might be worth checking out.
As far as cartomizers go...you're stuck cause they are slightly different to allow better air flow, but they are refillable.

just be sure to not mess up the threads.
Hmmm...don't think so cause the Bloog cartomizer has raised metal tabs to keep the cartomizer from seating tight against the battery and allowing more airflow. A number of people have mentioned cartomizers burning up and I experienced some of that myself today. Not sure what you'd dremel down as you'd be cutting into the threaded area of a non-Bloog cartomizer. Might work if someone wanted to try it...I was thinking you might be able to drill a tiny hole at the point when the threads end, but I'm not that adventurous.

You should be careful not to continue puffing after you taste the slightest bit of flavor dropping off. This is an indication that the filler material is dry. I always stop when I taste that cardboard taste and refill. If you keep on going you will still get vapor but it is also smoke. If you get to this point then it is hard to get rid of that flavor.
You can get a USB pass thru from nHaler.com. I have one that came with my Vapor4Life Vapor King (the nice thing about that pass thru is it will accept my 901 atties). They have a great starter kit that comes with two chargers and a pass thru. They also sell the GC cartomizers.
You can file down the GC cartomizers in the same fashion as the VK cartomizers. There is four holes or slots to allow air flow.
I really like my KR for it's long battery life and long cart life. I take two setups(batt and cart) to work with me and it lasts all day(8hr.)
I don't have a Bloog but I understand that it is a V9. It is a KR with a shorter length battery, and the same connection.
Hope this helps...

Cigeasy.com has a PCC (personal charger case) that comes with a battery and two cartomizers for 39.00. The case will charge your batteries while away from home 5 times. This would solve any battery issues you may have. These batteries are compatible with the Bloog.
Holy crap I just checked out the Bloog web site. Those are expensive rebranded V9's. Go to EastMall.net and look at the DPV9. It is the same thing I think. They have a five pack of batteries for $50. Pass thru for 13.00. Take in mind you are ordering direct from China though. They do have a great reputation from what I have read on this forum. It will take a few extra days to get here but that's worth the money.

Good info...thanks. I was only drawing on the GC cartomizer on the Bloog battery for maybe 5 minutes, and then a strong burnt plastic taste and smell started. I'm sure this was due to insufficient air flow. And I did stop vaping immediately upon tasting and smelling the burnt plastic.
I took a good look at the GC cartomizer and agree you could use a dremel to notch it down to work with the Bloog batteries...so if you're handy with a dremel you can definitely save a lot of money on replacement cartomizers cause Bloog's price is way high.
Thanks to everyone for the comments and recommendations!

Don't think I was offering any advice, just personal opinion. Only some observations about modding the cartomizer and the potential for issues. However upon further review I did note that I thought there was sufficient material to cut down the edges of the CG cartomizer to allow better air flow to work with the Bloog batteries. Haven't done it, nor would I recommend it without trying it myself. According to Bloog this was done to increase the throat hit while sacreficing vapor production (which frankly I thought was fairly decent for the Bloog - but that's a personal opinion.) So, like many things, this will be strictly a matter of personal taste.

Regarding the cartomizers burning up -- I've only used Bloog sourced cartomizers, and of the 13 I've gone through 2 burnt up within a 15 minutes of use and 1 won't screw on correctly, so that's over a 20% failure rate. I've taken to removing the cap and plastic o-ring and dripping in 2-3 drops of e-juice on new ones and do it again every few hours.. Getting good life out of them now.

I've got to drip every couple hours at least. I can clean out a cartomizer in 90-120 min. You're not leaving off the o-ring and cap I hope...the backwash of fluid might be nasty. I just killed one of the cartomizers removing the o-ring. Gotta be more careful. When removing it with a tweezers I got ahold of the wrapping on atomizer wire and apparently pulled some of it back. Didn't realize it and when I started using it it got amazingly...scary...hot. Took a good look inside and could see what I did. So if you're poking the end of the tweezers into the hole in the o-ring, tread carefully. That's the only one I've had fail and it was my fault...20% is not good. You might try notifying them.
