I was looking into getting one of these as well, or the Chuck purely for the customization. Hopefully you and GrimGreen come back in a couple weeks with another updated review.

IMO the Protege is THE choice for 3.7v vaping.
Oddly enough, I tend to reach for it over all of my devices sometimes.
Nicely done Moob.

I dont get it, so it has a 510 atty on there? so basically all this is battery / charger? Why would the vapor production be any different than a standard 510 if its the same atty withe same voltage battery?
-
Voltage. A 510 battery does not give you the same consistency of voltage.

I have a Prodigy, at 5V, were i like the vapor and all, dripping all the time kinda gets to be a pain sometimes, plus it likes to melt carts. I'm thinking about cutting my carts back to correct that problem. So I'm thinking the 3.7V option might be the way to go so that I don't have to drip ALL the time.

yes it does , just not for as long..
The only benefits for these kinda mods is battery costs and runtime between charges. One is lower one is higher..
a 510 battery fresh off of charge will perform no different from the protege or any other 3.7v mod until the voltage drop off.

So you mean like 10 minutes later? LOL. I'm pretty sure the Protege starts off at a slightly higher voltage when fully charged as well...4.2v or so then drops at an even 3.7-3.8v
