Entertaining vid Jim! Been seriously considering getting one of these pipes.
Just a little constructive criticism, be careful with calling carts cartomizers. You might confuse some people watching the vid. Cartomizers have built in atomizers. The G500 Greencig pipe uses cartomizers but costs something insane like $250. The DSE601 has the atty built into the bowl as you pointed out.
Let us know how the pipe holds up. How well are the carts wicking for you? Do you have to top up a lot? Does the cartridge filler burn at all?

Don't waist your money on the pipe. I had 5 of them and they all fail as fast as a regular atomizer fails. The only difference is the price to replace them is 5 times more than a ecig atomizer.
They are also notorious for leaking into the bowl which causes the wood the crack.
Every noob buys one and the initial impression is good because they pump out massive vapor. A week later they are crap.
Take it from someone who has been there and done that.

Well, I'll keep using it and will get back if the thing craps out. So far it has been ok. Heard others had very good luck with it.

I disagree with robw's view on the DSE601. I can easily get a good two to three months of use from a DSE601 atomizer with moderate daily use. A light vaper might get close to six months from an atomizer. The e-pipe is more about form factor and vaping style than, say, a 901 or 801 setup. The pipe is a sophisticated vaper that feels good in the hand, is relaxing to use and produces volumes of vapor.
Yes, the replacement atomizers are costly, but the cost of smoking analogs is much higher. Not necessarily because of cost, bu tof the cost of one's health.

Yeah, I realized that halfway through making the thing I was calling them cartomizers, then I started calling them just cartridges. Oops.
It seems to wick fairly good, although it did end up flooding once. I just finished one of my marlboro carts and I took the filler out, washed and dried it, soaked it in Cuban Cigar flavored e-juice, and wow. Taste is a lot better in the 601 than in my mini DSE103. Much better throat hit too.
