I was under the impression that the cr2 batteries were too large to physically fit in the 905 body. Did you have to mod the unit at all? I wonder if the non-rechargeables are that much smaller than the rechargeable cr2s if that's not the case.

Yes.....the inside had to be bored out in order to fit the cr2 batteries.

    I'm a little concerned.

My stock, week old, 905-V2 has twice either stayed on after I took my finger off the button or fired up by itself.

There's something in the manual (in Chinengrish) about it blinking many times and going into a cleaning burn every so often. Mine didn't light up. I only knew about it being on because the atty got quite hot. The last time it was hot enough to melt the lip of the 801 cart I was using.

Has anyone else had similar experience with these?

Mine did the same thing on the first day. I believe it's the cleaning cycle. I didn't get any melting (maybe because I detected the heat and quickly unscrewed the atty. The cycle completed about an hour later. It did discolor the cart. But there doesn't seem to be any burnt taste. It's set to clean every 1000 puffs. I'm still waiting on the next cycle.
