Default EVO VS Pilot - Head to head comparison...Surprising results!

    Here's the video.

I found myself a bit surprised.

YouTube - Head to head comparison. Intellicig EVO VS. Puresmoker PILOT

(Before anyone asks, I did this head to head with 2 of each atomizer( thinking it could have been an atomizer problem) and got the same results across the board.)

    Hope this is helpful.

    You're welcome.

When I can manage to get my hands on some more e-cigs I'll do more reviews.

So far it's been mostly juice.

Wow.. I am soooo excited u got a move on with this video.. I have been waiting for someone to compare the EVO to the Pilot so I could decide if I should spend more $ on the EVO when I already love the Pilot so much and you have totally helped me decide I do NOT need the EVO! I bought a 3rd battery for the Pilot and the 3 batteries can last me 16-20 hours. I rotate so I always have 2 fully charged (8-14 hours worth for me). This seemed to be the only big difference from others reviews and though you mention the "throat hit" difference... I find that the bigger "throat hit" only gives me a sore throat. I do not find it necessary and I am perfectly satisfied without a "HUGE throat hit". I get enough feeling from the Pilot to be satisfied. I was going to review the difference between the 2 and 4 hole atomizers.. but after using the 2 hole for a bit I don't notice a huge difference and since Steve will not be carrying the 2 hole anymore.. it seems irrelevant lol! Thanks so much dude... u rock!

I just got my Evo tonight and I can attest to the throat hit. My Pilot should be here in a few days so I can see if I get the same results. Do you think the difference in atomizers might be related to differences in temperature?

That's a great review - many thanks! It just goes to show how subjective the throat-hit thing can be. I remember Parked's (also excellent) review where he says he gets no throat hit from the Evo.

The main thing I get from watching this is that clearly both the Evo and the Pilot whack out vapour - which is great!

Well, for me that`s true. I noticed something (with my EVO), which after reading this review, made me think that EVO atomizers generate lower temperature peak than some other atomizers. Why do I think that? Well, I noticed that when I take a drag from a freshly dripped atomizer, vapor in my mouth feels much more moisty, and the throat hit is killer. Really, sometimes it feels like somebody just grabbed my throat hard, even with a low nic juice. On the other hand, when atomizer gets a bit drier, not dry, think kinda optimal, throat hit gets weaker, but vapor goes wild.
So, it looks like that "half evaporated" juice gets your throat much harder and that could be the thing we are looking here. Maybe Evo doesn`t cook the juice extremely and we inhale more of a light vapor (heated juice), and that could be the reason for harder hit described in this review.
That could also mean that evo atomizer should last longer, being a colder peak device.
I don`t know guys, it`s just something going through my head now, I could be totally wrong.

So true. I've now been using the JOYE510 (generic version of the Dura) for this week and still have to say the "throat hit" on the Evo feels "sharper". Wheras on the 510 it feels "fuller". Thats the best I can describe it. The first atomiser (now departed) I used on the 510 was better than the second one. I'm also getting the feeling the current atomiser I'm using on the Evo is not quite as good as the one it came with originally. In short, it seems to be luck of the draw

Thanks a ton for that review Terraphon!! I love my Pilot!! But of course was wondering if there was something I was missing out on by not having tried the EVO!! Glad I watched this before I spent more of the countless amounts of fundage that I pour into this e-cig addiction!!

Thanks Terraphon, great comparison video. Just got my Pilot last night, mine is not putting out near as much vapor as that! I'm still getting used to it though, so we'll see how it does after a few days.
