DSE901 VS Pilot/M402/M401/EVO
I have read alot of people say the pilot/EVO produces more vapor and more throat hit than the DSE901 does. Well here is my video review of both side by side. Open it up in youtube if you want to watch the HD version. Sorry about the poor quality the lighting in the room was pretty dim.

Nice comparison! Straight to the point, and HD is always appreciated. The lighting was actually perfect, unless it was your camera. Either way, the vapor production was much more clearly visible than many of the other videos. I'm a huge fan of the 901 myself, and I've been considering picking up a pilot as well. I think I may still get one, but now I'm thinking maybe just an extra 901 battery or 2 instead. Thanks for the video

which one puts out more vapor could be more luck of the draw on parts...i think many like the 401 more because of the longer battery life, better cart draining, the fact the the carts dont leak, and the batteries are less finicky and sticky. not that the 401 is perfect, but i think since they both put out good vapor, this is not the big selling point of the 401

Neither my 401 or 402 battery lasts any longer than my 901 batteries and the 402 is down right pathetic. I also dont get any leaking out of the 901 unless it is over full. The pilot does have an easier draw and feels more like a cig. I constantly hit the cut off on both the 401 and 402 batteries and thats annoying as hell. I keep drawing and drawing in hopes of a throat hit. Both my pilot atomizers perform the same.

In Rustylug's YT video, he made the M401 (with a bit of tape) look pretty badass...

It has to be luck of the draw. I can tell you without a doubt that my pilot and evo batteries have always kicked the sh!t out of the 6 901 batteries I have with the exception of one pink batt that the wife uses (and it's still not as good as the 401's). After a little over an hour of use the 901 batt's I have are pathetic. It goes from pretty good vapor down to a hint of vapor. It's all opinions I guess, and you know what they say about those (hehe).
That is a great video btw. Unfortunately, the only thing that is the same for me is throat hit. I agree it is a little weaker with the 401's.
Also, Rusty's review there is on the RN4081

That's not a 401. It's an RN4081 which uses a pneumatic pressure switch. This, I think, is part of the reason the tape makes such a difference.
As for throat hit, I can't speak for the 901 because I've never used one but I do know that pen-styles carry a heavier throat hit than the 401. The 401, however, is vastly superior in battery life and does pack one hell of a wallop for the size of the atomizer. (At least...the EVO does).
They're pretty mean.

ProStreet I feel the same way you do, but I will differ with you on the battery life. It does kick my 901's ass. I got a pilot atomizer for my evo, and its ok, but not great when it comes to throat hit. I can take the evo to work and not have to recharge it all day(or at least untill I get home).
Also jimgman said something about the 401 being superior when it comes to cart drain.
Thats true as well, that damn evo will let me vape every last drop of liquid till the damn cotton is dry. But with the 901 the cotton can be soaked, but if you dont top it off you dont get much vapor.
So to me I still like the 901 better, throat hit trumps everything else, when it comes to being satisfied Its the 901. But the pilot/evo beat it if your talking battery life and cart drain.
I wish there was a cig that had the best of both worlds. I ordered the Dura C maybe it will be "The One".

It will be "the one"
That leaks
And tears through batteries
And won't fit in the PCC if you have the manual switch.
That is, unless your one of the lucky few. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.
