I have vaped in church, but only the weeks I'm working behind the sound board... never in among the congregation. I'm usually pretty surreptitious about it, but I've done it.
I'm actually kind of ashamed admitting that. I can't even "fast" for 90 minutes out of respect?

If vaping in church is bad, I'm guessing I am headed straight for the fiery depths.. I vaped in the Christian Academy gymnasium! A Christian School! (ducking the stones from all directions)
To be fair, it was set up for a local business expo and I was running the company booth solo. No one to take turns with me so I could go outside, etc. I stuck my 901 in a to-go soft drink cup and was as discreet as possible. No one noticed a thing.
So it wasn't like I was sitting there watching an Easter pageant huffing away.. But it's still pretty bad I guess!
*Edit* also - I figured it would be more considerate than hanging out at the front entrance where the other vendors were smoking analogs, clogging the thru-way, etc

90 minutes?! I would find a different church. My pastor was starting to run about an hour and 10 minutes and the church council straightened him out.

I don't mean this to be offensive, BUT, is this the kind of "vaping behavior" that is going to win us respect? It seems that this would just make people hate vaping and vapers.
I mean, seriously, there's a time and place for everything.
In my not very imporant opinion, this thread seems similiar to school girls giggling that they chewed gum in church and didn't get caught.

So by this logic, if someone has a nicotine patch on, should they remove it prior to entering a church? Slippery slope there I fear. What I think you're getting at is people vaping with deviant/rebellious intent, which can definitely give everyone a bad name - no disagreement there.
A bit of contempt towards the reference to giggly schoolgirls. Such labeling in itself might reflect badly on the argument you're posing. I think most people would respect time and place to where they don't stand up and make a spectacle of themselves just to get a reaction.
So far everyone I've read from here is getting tired of being the 'Billy Mays' of the e-smoking world with constant questions/requests for demos (myself included - though I've inadvertantly lost the tobacco companies 3 customers thusfar).
I don't think there's any reason not to share our experiences, times, places, etc. I think the forum was clearly labeled and if SJ thought it inappropriate he'd have removed it by now
