Anybody else see the episode of south park where the kids exit the museum of tolerance and the tour guide goes on about excepting people for who they are and completely flip the script after the touching speech and just go ape .... on the guy smoking a ciggerette outside? That's why. If you've seen the scene it perfectly depicts how if hate is justified in society's eyes people are going to ****rain on you.

Gonna happen real soon too if you don't recycle or if you don't use rechargeable battery's very soon. One of the reasons why I hate the go green movement. It's going to power more "justified" hate I believe. Iin the next few years your gonna be harassed if an appliance in your house isn't green certified or you like to use alkaline batteries. Saving the earth. Whatever the hell that means

just make sure the court doesn't rule against you or it could set precedence.

Were you smoking one that looks like a "real" cigarette? I think they should not make them look like a regular cigarette as it is asking for trouble. I think it is in the best interest of all e-vapers to distance ourselves from "real" looking cigs so to the general public there is an obvious difference. Which is the whole point....is it not?

It's perfectly fine to make them look like real cigarettes, there's plenty of variety to make them look like non cigarettes but that causes complications as well. I have a black dse901 and I was dry smoking without the cartridge, lips on the atomizer and somebody asked if they could "hit my ...."

Yes it does look like a oney when your in public, during the day, and can't see the led

I wouldn't stop vapin, copers were called, I was pretty respectful to the cop and tried to explain that I was outside, that it wasn't a real ciggerete, even if it was I wasn't breaking the law BUT IT WASN'T.

All I got was verbally harranged on how it's illegal and how much trouble I'm in and this and that. Yes, I am on probation like a motha ...ka. NEVER back down, even if it means going to a judge
    FIRE ONE UP!!!

Personal note: Yes I was asked to leave but it's not a publically owned restaurant and I wasn't breaking the law. I was far within my limits as a customer SMOKING A NON CIGGERETTE OUTSIDE
I work for a probation officer. They're pretty cool most of the time, just don't be a **** to the cop and get arrested for something dumb. Good for you to stand your ground tho, you didn't do anything wrong anyway so screw em.

because if for some reason the judge was dense and decided that he was going to set an example with it and ruled against him. Its not likely and it would easily be overturned but it would still be bad.

that's ridiculous! i would have had a hard time being respectful to the cops. atleast you were, which usually helps things go smoother in the end.

    but seriously? that's fricking ridiculous.

Working for a probation officer and answering to a probation officer are two totally different things.

i'd be curious as to if you can sue the city and the police dept for harassment or some such thing. You werent doing anything wrong. I'd also be calling sonic's head office and complaining about the store. Their general customer service number is 866-657-6642 8:00 a.m. to midnight, EST Their real phone number is (405) 225-5000

    Sonic Corp.
    300 Johnny Bench Dr
    Oklahoma City, OK 73104
    (405) 225-5000

    Executives are:
    J. Clifford Hudson, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer, Sonic Corp.
    W. Scott McLain, President, Sonic Corp.
    E. Edward Saroch, President, SONIC Restaurants, Inc. (The company's restaurant-operating subsidiary)
Robert J. Geresi, Senior Vice President - Field Services
Andrew G. Ritger, Jr., Senior Vice President - Business Planning and Purchasing
Nancy L. Robertson, Senior Vice President - Communications
Renee G. Shaffer, Vice President and Chief Information Officer
Stephen C. Vaughan, Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Paige S. Bass, Vice President and General Counsel
Carolyn Cummins, Vice President of Compliance and Corporate Secretary
Claudia San Pedro, Vice President of Investor Relations and Treasurer

Also, Sonic's media relations person is Anita Strohm at astrohm@barkleyus.com or (816) 423-6188

Being in Sonic's home area (oklahoma) I cant help but wonder what state this happened in. I know Sonic is in a few different states now, but cant believe you got a ticket for smoking outside of the building (nevermind the fact you werent even smoking). Insanity either way.

I'd definately take a copy of the law with you to court, especially if it defines smoking as burning of tobacco.
