That is so AWESOME! i am looking forward to using my e-cig in different locations that I wouldn't have been able to smoke. Congrats!

I do think the biggest obstacle with Esmoking is def the perception of what it is you're doing.

most of the time i've been confronted by people they are cool about it.. however certain places/people ask me not to do it, because other people might assume u are analog smoking and follow suit and/or complain to higher authorities.

my usual thing is to be subtle with my use, if confronted be as open and passive as i can with them, (tho the temptation to rub they nose in it is strong), and most often than not offer that if my vaping is a problem i will stop. Also if vaping in a place with a higher risk of getting collared, (ie: club, bar, cinema etc), i use my DSE901 with the green led as it won't get mistaken as a real ciggi.

Only once have i been ejected from a premises without hope of explanation.Though the place is populated by rich muppets anyway.

KISSboxes with the manual switch are good for this also. No LED at all. Another option is putting it in a felt bag with a lanyard cord. The bag covers the LED, and the cord keeps it handy.

Same here. I'm a chronic-love-to-smoke-Ill-do-anything-if-I-can-just-keep-on-smoking smoker. I know it makes no sense to talk up an item you haven't tried but I'm so excited to get my first order and see how it works, it's all I can talk about. I swear...if I start one more conversation at work with, "So...you ever hear of electronic cigarettes?" It's starting to sound like the ol' what's your sign line?
Some of the people that I assumed would mock are spreading the word and people I don't know are asking if I "got that new cigarette yet." Can't wait to give it a try.
My boss is aware of them and I'm cleared to vape in the office, but I'm wondering how long it will take for me to get the courage to do it elsewhere...like in my mother's livingroom...

If I am e-smoking in a bar or restaurant and get asked to stop, I usually just smile and put it in my pocket. That usually gets a reatcion like "WTF!!! Did you just put that in your pocket???"

I would never try and argue the point with any proprieter who asks me to refrain - the world has enough bad mannered people without me adding to that

I was sitting in a restaurant tonight -- under a "No Smoking" sign with its universal emblem of the crossed-out cigarette. Now, there is no way I am going to pull out an e-cig and vape away. That would be the worst possible manners. I'd be forgiven if I threw up supper, but not if I tried e-smoking.

Which is why I pop a snus in my mouth immediately on meal completion. A time and a place for everything. Be considerate and know that there is more than one way to win the no-smoking game.
