Historically the masses have been slaves, sometimes openly so, to the warrior elite and the priests. The main thing that has changed is now the masses think their opinions have value.
I'm not sure it's an improvement. You still have rule by the few and slaves of the many, but now the many won't shut up.

I don't believe its so much that people are that dense, but that they listen and trust when supposedly legitimate entities such as the government or FDA speaks. Eliciting this sort of reaction is exactly what the FDA counted on when they went public on e-cigs last week with propaganda that suits their agenda.

I don't personally know anybody else that vapes, kinda weird. There are smokers at work, but they all believe the FDA propaganda. They are afraid of the evil Chinese devices and the unhealthy liquid. The smokers I have talked to, pretty much all say "I'm gonna quit soon". "Soon" never comes, they keep puffin' away... day after day.
One of them has quit, he is taking Chantix. He tells me about freaky dreams that he has. he tells me how easy it has been to quit. I told him, "the real test comes when you stop taking it."

FDA report was presented in an alarmist and biased manner.

Their very brazenness in trotting out this bollocks is what strikes me. As Julie says, it's only my own knowledge of vaping that lets me see the agenda behind this statement. I have previously accepted official pronouncements at face value. Mistake.

You may want to ask your friend if he has read about the rash of suicides once people started taking Chantix! His "freaky dreams" may just be a prelude! In fact, I believe the FDA intends to, or has already, pulled it off the market because of this.

Exactly what the
FDA is hoping for......
Someone really needs to 'demand' (nicely request?) publication of the stats on anal logs in comparison.
And throw in the figures for
NRT's too - just in the name of 'fair play'.
I'm on 13th day without smoke (forced myself to try one of my 'rollies' last night and just couldn't smoke the thing)
I hear my neighbor hacking, coughing, and wheezing in the morning..... only about 1/3 as bad as I was before I first picked up my P/V June 15th..... and he sounds like he's going to 'expire'.
Dang I feel good for 51!
30 years of smoking

My mom successfully quit with Chantix and thinks it's the best thing since sliced bread. She is CONVINCED That the same people who are slamming it are the ones behind slamming the E-cig.
You see, Both the E-cig and Chantix WORK at getting you off smoking. The other stuff doesn't work, so you keep buying it or go back to smoking, thus spending more money.

Same here...they talk down to me at work like I'm their grandchildren showing them a new toy-toy, even my closer buddies. Mind you, my work place has a 25% higher than average # of smokers AND a 20% higher number of people who are obese..we have "stroke storms", very sad...

What ever happened to fairness and hearing both sides? Government is financed by the people, I pay taxes, what are my rights? Aren't we supposed to have a say?
I personally am very suspicious of this diethylene glycol. If the FDA used the scare/fear tactics that they did about the testing, and their testing was not done by a neutral party, I would not doubt that the sample was tampered with.
