Vape Intervention / Funny Story ... Sort of
There is a show on US television called Intervention where they send addicts of all types to a treatment facility where they can kick their addiction ..
My boss asked me a few days ago if I watched the show .. I said "yes" and then he asked if I saw a certain show that had been on earlier in the week. Again I said "yes." This girl was addicted to canned air .. she would buy about 6 cans a day. She could barely get from the store to the car without huffing some of that air .. ....
If you haven't seen that one episode it won't be funny that my boss said I remind him of her with my PVs .. . He corrected himself and said he was kidding .. .SORT OF .. but on the way home from work that day I was vaping pretty hard and thought .. . "my boss is right .. I do resemble her with my PV in my hand .. "
Anyone else need a vape intervention ??

Apparently, the FDA thinks we all need a vape intervention.
I vape like a fiend, I'll be the first to admit, especially since I lowered my nic intake. I'm using 9mg juice and vaping more to compensate. I'm trying to get to zero nic within a couple of months.
I'm finding that I had much more of an addiciton to the act of smoking than I had to nicotine.

I saw that episode the other day. It was on my TIVO waiting for me to watch. That had to be one of the most intense addicts that I've seen. I mean it was really sad. The cans of air she was inhaling was compressed air that you use to dust off electronic components, like the inside of your computer or keyboard.
Those cans can be fatal from inhalation, and the girl on intervention was inhaling them like cigarettes. They said that she inhaled about 10 can a day as an addict. She was having hallucinations and cutting herself on the show, and when it came down to an intervention...she refused to go.
As an end result the cops came and arrested her for being a danger to herself and then she finally did get an intervention and is doing much better.
For your boss to say that you remind him of that girl...well PV's can look like a drug delivery device but we all know it's not. I showed my wife the bigger battery mods online that can be used for ecigs and she also said that they look like drug devices.

and the e-liquid even resembles the essential oils from another leafy smokable. However there is nothing illegal with looking like a drug user.

My boss was joking when he said that, but he was very close to correct.
I have a 67 VW Bus and I was vaping in the lane right next to a cop car .. I was surprised when he didn't pull me over [my bus is pink, green and orange] and I have to admit .. I was sort of 'daring' him to do so.

Hokie,
I must say, that is one sweet ride...maybe the officer was too busy looking at the outside of the bus to notice you vaping on the inside...how many seats are in there? how is the mileage?
Peace....

Great story, Hokie. I think many of us have become addicted to this new fangled gadget, much as I surmise the designers had intended. Since the e-cig can be used where we did not dare to puff an analog, and since we are starving ourselves of the thousands of chemicals we used to inhale, we likely do have these things in our mouths constantly. The overwhelmingly positive result, is that we are no longer killing ourselves with burning tobacco. While the long-term safety of vaping is unknown, most vapers feel fairly confident that we are on a path to being healthier.
