Default Smoked my e-cig in a bar for the first time!

Well this is my first weekend with my 901b. I went out last night to a local bar and couldn't wait to smoke inside haha. I was really curious whether or not I would be confronted by the owner, or staff. I waited a little while till we got our pitchers before I pulled it out. I started puffing away after the first beer and didn't have any problems. I did have some looks but no one said anything. Keep in mind I have the black pocket mini with the blue led so it looks nothing like a real cigarette.

There's a patio at this place where people go outside to smoke, and we were sitting right by the door in plain view from outside. That's when dirty looks started lol. It was like 25 degrees and snowing heavily last night..quite cold! People started looking at me with this weird face like what the hell!?! I just kept puffing away! Still no one said anything. Then after my friends went out about three times they started calling me an assh*le and such. One of my friends got fed up and just said "Give me that freakin' thing!" and started smoking it instead of going outside! lolol! It was great!

I don't think It'll be this easy at every place I go to in Chicago, but at least I know now that it won't be an issue all the time. Both of my guys are sold on e-cigs now, and I just love mine more then ever!!!

I glad it went well for you - I don't smoke to much in public because I get so busy I don't want to have to go thru all the explaining!
Having to smoke outside I'm sure will do wonders for suppliers sales this winter after the word gets around. Take note suppliers a few business cards tossed in to your current customers boxes would be a good idea. I know I could use some.

That's an excellent point. I got like five cards with my first kit, and went through almost all of em. Saving the last one for a family member or something. I'm thinking I should stock up and start selling these things in the streets this winter haha!

If the worst thing that happens is it makes people want to get one, I think that is the desired result.

We are walking smoking advertisments for the ecig industry.

    Business cards with orders....great idea!

I tried to explain mine to ONE person Thanksgiving day....then he wanted to know where to buy it, etc....the conversation was just too long! Then he gave me his email address to send him links...sheesh!

A simple explanation with a business card from someone you might recommend sounds great.

ZStyle81, that was my exact idea my brother and I have.. hit the bars and clubs where everyone has to go out and smoke.. toss them our business card for our site to purchase the items.. and even have a couple testers we bring with us .. maybe we should work together since you are in the city and i am in the burbs.

i was at a pub a few days ago with my m401 (also not cig looking) and everything was fine with the people around me cos we got to chatting about it and they understood BUT on the other side of the bar there were some complaints. the best and funniest part was that they said they could smell tobacco smoke. I had a strawberry cart in so there is absolutely NO WAY they could smell tobacco. Psychosematic response is the most hilarious thing i have ever seen.

Hi Rockbrassray, that is exactly what i have been doing. people love them when they know what they are and can have a taste. I find women like the fruity flavours and men like the baccy ones (manly men). it's a great way to sell. I have been doing quite well already and have only just started.
