If I brought the issue to management, they would be quick to ban it in the building. It's just a fact. I know the environment I work in. I doubt I would be fired if caught, since my manager likes me and I am a valued employee, but they'd probably tell me I couldn't do it anymore.

Exactly my situation. I have been stealth vaping at my desk all day for 4.5 months, a few friends know, but that is it. I assume that managment would not approve if I asked, so I just don't ask, and don't tell.

We have a contract with the mall and they have to let me vape. If they tried to stop me we could sue them. Techically vaping is a part of my job and I am actually paid to do it.
But I'd trade it all for just a little peace of mind..

I'm not really seeing your point with all this. Do you have see-through stalls or something?

Anyway, it's very easy to vape without anybody knowing, even if they see you with your "pen in your mouth". Just don't blow out clouds.

I vape at my desk though no one knows it. I am on the end of a hallway and there are 4 empty cubicles between me and the next person (reduction in force and happy I still have a job). I take a drag every now and then and blow it out discretely. I still go outside when I really want to vape steadily like when I smoked analogs. Everyone who smokes out there knows about them but

I've never brought it up to management and don't see any need to. Never know which way they might go.

I work at a telco CO. The office/cubicle area is separated from the equipment that's protected by halon/flm-200. My director is cool about it and I can vape all day in the cubicle area, I dare not try in the CO itself though in case it sets off suppression. I was told it costs close to $120k to refill and makes quite the mess

I am lucky in that I am sort of the boss, so I can vape at will in my office. I am also lucky that my core team consists of a fellow vaper and a non-judgmental ex-smoker. When we take over a conference room it is like something from "Mad Men". Particularly cool when the video projector picks up the vapor.

I vape all day at my desk. My cube is located in the corner so it's fairly discreet. I was the first one at my office to get a PV. Since then I've converted several others, including my boss (VP), HR manager, Production manager and a shift supervisor haha..so I'm lucky that I can pretty much vape anywhere I want at work. The only reactions I've had so far have been positive. People just laugh when the see me puffing away at my desk, but I work in a fairly close knit small(ish) office. We all know each other pretty well and don't sweat the small stuff...

My point in all this is that I don't have to hide and run the risk of someone finding out and possibly lose my job or get into some kind of disciplinary action. My main point in starting the thread was that I was surprised at how accomodating my employer was and how happy I was that I didn't have to "hide" what I was doing.

The stalls aren't see through, but I don't know if someone will be coming in the bathroom until they are already there. At some point I can see how someone may see "smoke" because I didn't anticipate them coming into the bathroom and have expelled vapor. Sometimes even when I hold my breath there is some vapor expelled so that may be seen. As a "go-to person" my cubicle is open and people are coming in and out of my area all day, the LED would probably give it away as something other than a pen. Or the fact that when I answered their question little wisps of vapor were trainling from my mouth.

I try to be proactive rather than reactive.

I vape all day long in my office. My boss knows and HR knows. I do not walk around the common areas with my PV. I do not want to awaken the antis!
