Mostly giant anvils, but pretty much everything from pages 3 - 236 of the ACME catalogue...

i havent been to six flags in 7 years. i had a season pass 6 years in a row but i stop going. got tired of waiting 2 hrs just to ride. i remember when i used to go, i can only do like 4 rides because of the line. by the time you get home, your dead tired from walking and standing around. didnt they have a water park now?

I haven't been to six flags in years, but I was at the Texas state fair few weeks ago and while they went over everyone with the metal detecting wand I just held my PV in my hand.

Over here in Los Angeles county they had some kind of gang rival shoot out back in the nineties. So they put in metal detectors.

Atlanta does. Six Flags without a Flash pass is insanity. With one I've never waited more than one rotation. The wife and I are coaster junkies and hit it several times a year.

I guessed it happened in the parking lot. Run to the gates and get into the park so you can be safe. Because the parking lot isn't. Man Arrested in Shooting Death at Magic Mountain - Los Angeles Times

If it works like most metal detectors (including older walk-through units at airports) simply cover with hand to prevent detection. Aiport personnel have told me many times to simply put my hand over my belt buckle or large pocket of change in order to prevent setting it off. (note: this is in no way intended as a post to circumvent airport security)

I walked through the metal detectors at the six flags in Illinois and nothing happened. I didn't even think to take it out of my pocket.

If a person was really intent on getting a gun into an amusement park I don't think a metal detector is going to stop them.

If a person is intent on commiting a crime they're gunna do it no matter how much you make the law abiding citizens comply with pat downs/metal detectors or disallowing bags/etc in places.

If you can smoke in six flags I'd say go ahead and take your PV.
