Default government employees vaping in public restaurant.

Tonight we threw a retirement dinner for a government employee who happens to be blind. We went to a public no smoking restaurant and had dinner. My wife and I got there early and I started vaping. The blind woman retiring sat right across from me and never knew I was vaping until I told her. There were two others at the table vaping along with me. 11 people total. We each had our own different models. There were many customers and guests who saw us as well as employees and nobody never said ANYTHING. safety in numbers? It was quite enjoyable sitting around vaping in a public no smoking restaurant in a smoking banned state. We were all telling success stories and experiences with our different models. And talking about how much better it is than smoking. It was fun. It is also my birthday (as well as ecf) so it turned out to be a good day. I own a 510 and I've tried a blu, greensmoke and an Njoy. All were unbelieveably powerful. 510 is still my favorite. People vape in Nasa as well as the government inside no smoking buildings at work and out in public. I don't think these are going anywhere. They might be regulated and taxed, or banned in public, but these are here to stay. legally or illegally. These ain't goin' anywhere. You can count on it.

due to ignorance of people, this type of thing will not last long I bet. Even though it is nothing like smoking it resembles smoking too much for the ultra sensitive non-smokers. People are stupid

Nice little story. I haven't tried vaping in a restaurant of coffee shop yet, but I'm going to start going out more and see what the outcome of that is.

The whole "If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, quacks like a duck" theory does not apply here. I hate how people jump to conclusions without even knowing what they're talking about.

I've openly vaped in public libraries, 2 different high schools (even in the main offices), 2 different wal-marts (multiple occasions), other grocery stores, 3 banks, movie theaters, Lowes, mcdonalds, bars and even the post office. Before AND after the smoking ban. People don't care. Sometimes they ask if it's a cigarette and I just say, "No. It's an electric cigarette. I like it much better it's cheaper and it keeps me from smoking. There's no smoke or smell. I believe it is safer." And then they always seem interested instead of annoyed.

/shrug Smoke or not, I still think it's pretty damn obnoxious, considering you're leaving strangers to their preconceived notions of big puff clouds emanating from some guys face... But whatever.

I vape in grocery stores no problem. Although I don't walk around with big clouds emitting from my face. I vape a chuck at 6v and suck the vapor into my mouth and then inhale it into my lungs so by the time I exhale theres little to no vapor. So I haven't had any questions of confrontations. lol

I agree, there's no need to produce big clouds, I've a black Pen-style (M201) and I can often vape vey very discreetly... looks like one chewing pen's cap (well, I actually always hated that habit btw.. )
I still didn't try to vape in public transportations (I'm searching here for posts about this specific topic...)
