I'm a full-time student and full-time shift manager at Dunkin Donuts. Hopefully I'll be a store manager sometime soon. My boss is a smoker, so he's thrilled to have my 5v 510 PT living in our store's office. New employees always do a double take when they see us "smoking" inside the store.
I vape in the walk-in cooler.
Under my last manager I had to do the same thing.

I'm a (self-employed) dog groomer. I'm the only one working.. and could probably vape while I work (don't imagine the dogs would care
) but am always too busy using both hands to even think about it!

I'm a Photographer, mostly Youth League & High School Sports but, leading up to the '08 Olympics I was the photographer for the US National Water Polo Team (the Men's and Woman's teams, both got home with Silver Metals, the men were ecstatic, the women were pissed). I also shoot for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
When I'm not shooting I do PHP based web development.
...seeing that most of the time i work with kids, the fact that I no longer smell like an ashtray has been a big plus...

I do accounting/payroll/IT....whatever needs to be done for an Owner/Operator of a very well-known fast food chain. I am the only person actually in the office full time, but at any time there could be all 6 of us there...owner, his 2 grown children who are supervisors, office manager/bookkeeper, part-time admin assistant and myself. I have been the only smoker in the office since I started working there, and have always gotten light-hearted grief about quitting. All of them were very supportive of my switch to a pv and I even have it out on my desk. If I really need a heavy nic fix, I will go to the bathroom, take 4-5 puffs and come back to my desk, but I haven't had an issue taking a puff at my desk either. the bookkeeper does have kids, and 1 of them is in the office daily, I will not use it in front of him just to avoid mom being bombarded by questions.

Care to guess what our policy about vaping on the job is?

I'm an Occupational Therapist working in rehab. The medical community is turning pro E-cig rapidly and I vape @ my desk. I went to the Administrator the first day I started vaping and showed him what it was. There is an avid rule against smoking anywhere other than the designated smoking area, nothing has ever been said to me about my vaping other than how well I have done quitting. To be honest I never thought of it as quitting, I thought it was more like just changing brands!

I do vape at work, certainly. I vape in my office with the door closed. That's the only place I have chosen to vape so far, even though I work with a smoker. I close my door because my office is off of a very busy hallway. Never know who's gonna walk by and either make assumptions and start rumors or 'report' me for smoking inside. That would suck.
My boss (who knows I'm vaping in my office) still smokes and has to walk out to the road to do so. I almost have him convinced that vaping is a great thing. A few more times of him asking 'wanna go smoke?' and me saying 'nah, I'm good...just had one' and I think he'll cave.
He asked me to show him how an e-cig works today. Progress!

I am a forklift operator. I work in a warehouse shipping out parts for Mack and Volvo trucks. A few weeks ago, I could go out for a smoke pretty much whenever I wanted, but then they decided to crack down on the already existing "no smoking" policy that said we could only go outside to smoke during breaks. 3 hours was just too long for me, so I bought my electronic cigarette to use inside while I worked.
Well, my union rep asked me for some paperwork to prove it's safe to use inside to avoid a hassle down the road, so I gave him the website with the results of the testing done in New Zealand(i think...) This went to the plant manager who passed it along to his boss, and they have now said that until they decide on a new policy, electronic cigarettes would be considered "smoking facsimiles" and fall under the "no smoking" policy.
Drats! So now I'm not supposed to use it inside and have to wait for my breaks again. I just slip into a narrow aisle, hide it in my hand, and hold the vapor long enough so that it is nearly invisible when I exhale. My immediate supervisors think it's dumb that I can't use it inside anyway, and they'd have a hell of a time proving I was.

I am an EMS pilot and basically I sit in a hospital room that is our office all day unless we get a call, I contain my vaping to my room for the most part (no need to seek trouble out) but when folks come to visit I don't cover it up and when they ask what it is I show them. My USB PT is hooked up all the time. No objections so far. NO I do not vape while I am flying. Flying a helo is a two handed job for a 407

I'm a machinist/programmer, very stressful. Most shops in this area allow smoking or overlook smoking inside for machinists.
I was allowed to chain smoke inside before I used an e-cig. So no problem with the e-cig. However, several other smokers at my shop are looking into e-cigs since I've started. One non-smoker already has his wife a kit and is encouraging her to do it.
My boss's response has been very positve.
