Default Got caught vaping in a non smoking are

I was at a large casin/motel this week, and while walking from the motel area to the casino, I was vaping. I didn't even think anything about it. A security guard rushed up to me and told me I was in a no smokiing area and must wait til I got into the casino. I quickly removed the battery from the carto and told him, "This is a fake cigarette, and I'm exhaling flavored vapor. I use this to keep from smoking." He called another guard over and they both looked at it, chuckled and walked away.

It worked out fine. I think removing the battery right away, with him watching, helped him realize it was nothing like a cigarette.

That's awesome! Also good to know - taking the battery out and showing security. Were you at Mystic Lake? We take my father-in-law there at times. Would be nice to vape there.

I love the looks I get sometimes when I demonstrate the battery/carto unscrewing without explaining things first. I have had people look at my PV like Sarah Connor looked at the Terminator the first time some of his skin got shredded off... that unsure, "wtf" look. Then I know they're interested, and I won't be talking to a brick wall when I explain that I am not smoking.

    Default Never been Denied.

That is EXACTLY the first thing i do if confronted about smoking somewhere.Twist the battery off and say "check it out, battery here, and liquid here". Everyone has to look at it in amazement. Then i put it back together, take a dragg and make sure i blow it directly in their face (not rudely) and say VAPOR not SMOKE. Since Nov 09' Never once has anyone said i couldn't do it in their establishment. it;s funny when they say "how cool, i gotta get me one of those things". My e-cigs, juice (under 3 oz), carts, carto's (even a brick of 50), chargers and atomizers all have been through TSA airport security many, many times (20+) without a second look. Vape in the airport gates waiting for my planes. I have just never vaped on a commercial flight due to the crazy opinionated passengers out there with terrorism. It is a respect thing more than a "got no balls to do it thing". I am in fact 100% ballsey. AND 100% respectful mutually. Also recirculation of air on a plane is a respect for others and possibly have an allergic effect on some hyper-sensitive folks. I have enough self control and can hold out for 4 or 5 hrs no prob. To each his own. See what happens for yourself.(or not). Ultimately a straight-on honest approach seems best for me and will continue to to do so and educate those around me to a new way NOT to smoke. Works every time. Never been denied.

That won't do us any good here in NJ in a few months. The ecigs will be just as illegal indoors as the analogs.

That sucks for NJ. Taxes are already high enough there. Never fails, as soon as something good comes along, it gets shunned. At least gas is cheaper and they still pump it for you. LOL
And YES, tired of all the political ca ca imposed on us good citizens.
PS. Will ecigs in NJ be illegal in use in public or illegal to buy or possess ?
I go to Atlantic City every summer, that would just plain suck.

They will be illegal to use anywhere you cannot use an analog starting in June (thank you Democratic Senator Frank Lautenberg ). Atlantic City, at this time, has areas within the casino where they will allow you to smoke/vape.

Actually, our cruddy govt. made smoking illegal in the casinos about a year ago, but casino business decreased (thus tax collections to the cruddy govt. decreased) so much they rescinded the law for a while.

So, hopefully, you'll still be able to smoke/vape in certain areas of the casinos this summer and they'll still offer smoking rooms.

Ecigs will still be legal to possess if you're not a minor (but I'm sure our cruddy govt. is already working on taking them away from adults too).

Can you tell I don't think much of our govt.?!?!?

And actually, Hay, I think we who have lived during a time when the govt. did not have so much control over the citizens have even more awareness of just how much freedom we have lost.
