First outing, positive reactions

I went to a local bar in Seattle with my shiny new Janty Dura last night and it went pretty well so I thought I'd share.

A few people at the bar were comparing their various electronic toys - iPhone, Blackberry, MP3 players, etc. - so I took the opportunity to show them my Dura. The reaction was immediate as soon as I took a drag and the group at the bar saw the blue light and all the vapour: everyone was fascinated and wanted a closer look.

Over the course of a few minutes I let about 4 or 5 people have a go (good thing I'd put in a fresh cart) and three of them immediately got on the web to find out where they could buy, saying that they wanted one *now*. I pointed them in the right direction, so "Hi" if you're reading this, guys

And yes, I made sure to warn them about the overpriced junk which you see in the malls.

In general all it took was one drag to prove that these things really work and give you as good a nicotine hit as the dead leaf cigarettes. The way the vapour vanished without trace was popular too, and the bartender was particularly keen on being able to take a drag or two without having to leave the bar for the duration of a whole cigarette. That's an advantage whether or not you have to go outside to smoke it.

The owner wasn't around so I didn't get a ruling on vaping indoors but I'm hopeful. Bottom line was that I got uniformly positive, enthusiastic, reactions.

I'm not the most demonstrative of people so the attention was quite surprising to me. Flattering, too - one guy was offering to buy my beer for a week just for letting him know about e-cigs. I won't take him up on it though - he already loses enough to me at cards
