    Yes,

Australia already has this ban from smoking in public places,
clubs, retaurants, bars, ours includes casinos tho I think as well.--

it is terrible, it is still legal to buy and smoke but now they ban us from going to all these places cos we cannot enjoy them any more

I do not visit places that tell me what I can and cannot do-

as long as it is legal, I should be free to do it if I choose to.

    Cool

I agree with you Di. I hate being prescribed to. I have a brain (contrary to popular believe), and if all the facts are given to me, I want to be able to make my own decisions. I hate it if somebody decides for me.

We also have the public smoking ban. It started off with places like restaurants having a dedicated smoking area, but that is also slowly disappearing now. I must also say, that way back when I smoked, I was a considering smoker, and never smoked where it would bug non smoking people.

I now vaping here at my desk in an open plan office. Absolute bliss.

    yes,

I think they should allow us to make our own decision if we want to smoke or vape,
as long as it is legal, they should leave us alone.

I believe they don't have a say to what we do to/with our bodies. How can it be illegal to do anything to our bodies? And why they believe we will respect such laws?

On the plus side, it has a funny side to do "mission impossible style" forbidden things daily, we all need a little adventure in our lives

Back on topic, lol. Yes smoking ban goes into effect in Greece

    Jumi,
Has the government taken any stance on vaping yet?

They don't have a clue but they - almost - consider it a tobacco product so you can't advertise it by law. They are very smart people when they seek ways to build 15 houses* each using tax-payers money but really idiotic at everything else

*Not a joke, a former minister after 6 years of service now owns 15 houses all over Greece... Wasn't born rich and never had a job... And - most important - he is not in jail!

Tacoma, WA is trying to ban smoking in your own home if you rent. Typical liberal nanny state. CA is the same way. Glad I moved...
    EM801, M401, KR8/DPV9/VK, Indulgence 3.7v & 6v, 510/LR510/510 cartomizers, RiVa, Leo.
    Smoke-free since 9/21/2009!

Banning smoking in restaurants, ok, but who in the world ever went to a casino, bar or club to get healthy? I didn't notice too many people paying attention to the new law yesterday, me included!
