Ack! I can't figure out tracking..geesh! in Forum Suppliers; O.K. I understand the need to have patience..but what I don't understand is why! I clicked on the tracking number ...

    Default Ack! I can't figure out tracking..geesh!

    O.K. I understand the need to have patience..but what I don't understand is why!
    I clicked on the tracking number and it took me to the tracking screen. I typed in the verification code (about 12 times) and it says error. What am I missing? Bear with me I am new at this ordering from overseas..and moutains, rivers and ponds stuff.
    If it's too soon to track, I ordered on the 15th my time, the 16th China time, then that's fine. But if I am being really dumb..point me right!

    The only business I've used in China is Heaven's Gifts and you have to track them by the "Waybill" number not the verification code.

    By Waybill, I think you mean the order number. If so that site puts it in for you. They show you a verification number/letters in a multicolor box with the numbers and letters slightly distorted. They ask for you to put them in the box provided. At least that's what I have been doing.
    Just tell me for Pete's sake..it's not top secret..or maybe it is! The FDA could be tracking too...

    I have not had very good luck with the EMS tracking site. It seems to give me the Error message more often than not, too. I just wait until it shows up on the USPS site which should be pretty soon for you I would guess. I put an order in about the same time as you and it just showed on the USPS site.

    EMS home page, choose tracking (upper left hand ), then choose online tracking.
    Choose batch tracking as the single shipment option won't let you enter the whole number.
    After you enter your Waybill number, delete any spaces between the letter and numbers and hit tracking.
    I just tracked my last delivery from Heaven's Gift and it worked but I had to use the Waybill number.
    Sorry, that's the only way I know how to do it.

    Your not the only one hating the tracking system there MaryKay. I got the "Shipment Dispatched" email last Saturday - the 12th - along with the tracking link. I go to the same page as you, type in the Verification code and still get the "no information on this tracking" on the EMS one and "no record of this item" on the USPS one. It's pretty useless. I didn't expect my package in a week though. I'll give it at least till next Wednesday.

    Not sure. I ordered on the 16th and My tracking is showing info. Have you tried typing it into the usps site?

    tracking is sometimes a bit hit and miss,
    it is absolutely not an exact science........

    sometimes the ems tracking is really good,
    sometimes it doesn't show on ems at all,
    but usually it does show as soon as it hits the recipient country,
    so after 5 -6 days it should be showing on the recipients service tracking system, however there are always the ones that get delivered to your door,
    and never show on the tracking at all !!

    so East Mall do say, please be patient, and allow 7 - 10 business days
    the good news is, we don't lose too many,
    they usually do show up at your door, and in good time also.

    I tried both again EMS and USPS and nothing. I think I am entering the code right. I am using capital letters because that's what they show.
    I will try again tomorrow. I only wanted to make sure I was doing it right!

    Couldn't you just open a Stateside store?

    St. Cloud is nice! Small but growing and your friends could visit and go to Disney..Seaworld?..maybe Universal, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter opens next year!

    Well at least I have something! The site now says they don't know what I am talking about (NOT FOUND) LOL! hey, it's progress! Kind of like talking to a help desk person who can't figure out what the thingamagig that goes beep is when I talk to them..or my cup holder!

    I have been thinking about what you said Di, about this not being an exact science..yeah, I think it is! I mean it's coding right? And in coding there are two whole choices..on and off, 1 or 0. That's it! How exact can you get?
    But the problem here is with people..they aren't scanning or have a defective scanner or have a code that has gone off tract somewhere in the computer. I was an invoice/receiving clerk..it's easy to make a mistake (or have the computer make one) and you don't even know when it has gone wrong!

    I am just being silly here, not complaining, except to whine. I figure my stuff is winging it's way across the antarctic..oh good grief! that can't be right!
