Hmmn, well I'm not really sure what this means?

Are we talking sexually suggestive? And what are offensive gestures, on a message board?

I don't have a problem with sexually suggestive material per se - but I do recognise that ECF is a broad church, and we do have to be careful not to alienate large swathes of the population that might be turned off by this.

One solution is to ensure that any topics of an "adult" theme are kept to the general discussion or community forums. But anything sexually explicit must remain out of bounds.

I think this is a good suggestion.

I like the suggestion too - Is this better?

I think so - perhaps we should also add that any pornography linked to warrants an instant ban.

This is the internet after all!

How about like this:

Offensive content (Suggestive)

Any topics of an "adult" theme are kept to the general discussion or community forums. But anything depicting or linking to sexually explicit material are subject to an instant ban.

Suggested Infraction: 1

Linkis to offsite website is covered in a seperate rule

THIS RULE #2
maybe include the linking to site in that rule and keep this one strictly for anything actually posted on the forum

Gestures, like in an avitar or a picture? How far does that go? Shooting a bird or whatever that 2 finger thingy is called in the UK, maybe the bottom of a shoe in some cultures? I mean to say, some people are offended if a smilie shows a plumber's butt.
I had one complaint about an avitar featuring a child smoking.
How will that work?
