Bit of a strange one this, since I honestly can't remember it ever happening on ECF..

That said, since we are trying to establish a whole set of rules, I guess we should cover all bases?

Any thoughts people?

Question What about

discussion/pics of violent video games or discussion/pics of graphic horror films..will those be taboo? I can get copyright stuff, but would this rule make that moot?

SJ, there was one time when a member made a post of when he was out and about some guy made a pass at him and he would knock someone out if it happened again. Then pretty much bashed gay/lesbian people after that. The thread was eventually closed. That is the only one time I remember something like that happening.
I think this is a much needed rule just incase.

TX, that particular incident was straightforward homophobic abuse - and he was banned as soon as it was reported.

The threat of violence from one member to another is clearly a banning offence.

I think the reason this particular rule seems odd is that it sandwiches together two different things.

I think the second part "depicts an injury in a graphic manner" is just an extension of the first in that an image is posted with an intent to imply threat. Either way, I'd be very surprised to see that kind of post on the forums.

I'd leave it. As Nuck said it would be surprising if this became a problem here. But it's better to cover all bases.

Leave it as such......

I believe that in this case "graphic" is used as an expression, not in the meaning of an image.

It's never happened is not to say it never will . the word 'Content' covers all bases be it text , video or pic.

I read 'graphic' as beyond the acceptability of the majority..
