Question LR Joye 510 atty exploded!

I just bought this atty about 2-3 weeks ago. I haven't used it with any devices over 3.7 and mostly with my 3.1 joye 510. Last night I was vaping and all of the sudden POOF! I felt a gush of hot air and smoke go in my mouth. I wasn't aware that these exploded like this. It never got too hot but I was using it with the wick and bridge removed. Anyone know why this happened?

i've actually switched off of the LR atties. i've been seeing too many folks finding that they kill their batteries, not to mention that Joye offers no guarantee on the life of LRs...

I don't know why your atty blew up, but it's a pretty safe bet that when you pried the bridge off you damaged/weakened the coil underneath it until it finally melted.

This removing the bridge of atomizers is a bad idea, especially when using a drip tip. Unfortunately, it's just a matter of time until somebody inhales a hot piece of metal.

When you say LR are you taking something reasonable like 2.0ohm or are you talking about something ridiculous like 1.5? LR attys will "pop" if they dry-out. It is just the nature of the beast. That's why you usually only get a " DOA" warranty in them.

Hmmm... Pretty sure I didnt damage the coil when I removed the bridge and the coil "melting" (which I dont think is possible) wouldn't cause this to exploded. It was something in the wiring.

The whole atty popped up out of the casing. I'm still not sure what happened
